Xbox now back up to £89.99, still get 4 games free with it though, tough luck to those who didn't get one, I got one thanks OP, but cant make up my mind whether I want to open or sell it, already have a PS2 and gamecube

I was about to say 'are you sure? i just checked and was still the £50 price?'

Just checked again and it was at the higher price! lucky me though... i left it in the trolley and it still came out as £50! phew!

Extremely cheeky if you ask me, especially with all the confusing differing stories!

Just rang them, the lady said that the offer ends at midnight tonight, she said if i reserve it before then and take in my confirmation e-mail then they will honour it at that price, bloody hope they do as i've got to drive 20 miles as my store hasn't got one!!

I'm on the same boat...I got it reserved at £49.98 but the price has gone up to £89.99 - I'm hoping that the previous price will be honoured. Did you call Argos customer services or did you call the store directly?

    Thanks

    Yup. Offer gone. £89.99 now.

Unusual for Argos to honour the old price, as their website clearly states that the price you pay is the price instore when you collect the item, not when you reserve it, but still worth a try.

I would phone before driving 20 miles though.

Don't forget to get something useful like a pack of Duracell AAs (980/0146) - currently 8 batteries for price of 4 (£2.99) or similar, to get your purchase over £50 and earn you a £5 Argos discount card.

  • Does anybody have an idea where to get a cheap xbox live starter kit??
what price do these usually sell for..sorry I have not got a clue what the norm price is
  • I agree that if anybody has a res then the old price should be honoured..after all the date thing on the website was confusing and misleading. I dont think they will refuse to honour it.

Home Bargains were selling Xbox live packs with headset and controller and a subscription for £3.99. However, the 2 stores near me have now sold out. Amazon want £19.99 for the same thing http://www.amazon.co.uk/Radica-Phoenix-Live-Xbox/dp/B0007A5DLO/sr=8-42/qid=1164879351/ref=sr_1_42/202-6486868-5072645?ie=UTF8&s=videogames no wonder they sold out!

Thanks for the remote link wishingonastar. Is the remote all you need to play DVD/CD's, i.e. no modding required other than that?
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!
