That must have been some size of box as they arent small.... Dont the staff upstairs have to scan the barcode on the boxes to verify the stock levels... My mate works in my local branch and says they scan every item as it goes out so nobody can go to the express checkout and buy something that isnt there and it can also be deducted from thier stock checker...

You must have got some bad temps working in that store, I would guess it was a fresh delivery and they didn't have time to remove the individual XBox consoles from the shipment packaging.

Oh well, don't feel too guilty, Argos obviously want rid of these ASAP anyway

yes they were in a large box and yes as you say it must have been sat/staff who didnt take them out of the boxs,but as I didnt know until I got home I dont think they have the right to get them back,that is why I WILL not name the store

I can beat that not from Argos but from Boots a couple of months back £10 for the xbox console, extra controller and 2 games. Wouldn't mind a couple more for £25 though, do you reckon that this could happrn in other Argos stores. You had a cracking buy :T .

Just traded mine in at game station for £32.00. Kept the games to use with my £10 boots machine. Got a couple of PSP games on bogof so well happy!or ds will be come christmas....

Ordered saturday on mastercard (so can't check till tuesday if it's gone out or not) but had no e-mail confirmation. Didn't print-screen the order either because I thought i'd get an e-mail (this was for home delivery)

Anyone else had the same problem? it did say it may take a few hours for an e-mail confirmation at busy times, but a whole day? even a human system wouldn't take that long!

I ordered on on Friday night, never heard anything...in the meantime one came available instore not far from me so I reserved it and picked it up today....I rang Argos because I'd not got an email and wanted to cancel the order, they checked if my order went through by asking my card details...told me no record and also told me they are having problems with online ordering at the moment where items out of stock are being allowed to go to checkout but then not being processed.

Are you saying you paid £18 just for the 4 games then ? because that does not sound like a good deal.
