Other international Apple sites are stating a 2-4week wait, I'd expect it to be the same in the UK - best bet is to buy on the high street

Why do you want one? I have played with one for the last week as a mate bought one over from New York, yep it's nice but I won't pay £500+ for a 64gb Ipod with a large screen.

oh and it will be delivered a week late you will have a card stating that they tried to deliver it you will spend ages trying to get hold of the courier and when you eventually do get hold of it you will find the screen cracked......... ;o))))

people are still queueing at apple stores for them in the US, they get them in for opening and are sold out straight away. This is happening in non major cities so expect the same to happen here

Try a local Apple Premium Reseller too, DSGi might get some units but not a lot, and its only going into stores that have the new iPad display units.

Stock is VERY VERY light I have heard that some of the medium Apple stores are going to get about 400-500 units in total, best thing really is to place a order some were that will get you one.
