Apparently high demand in the US coupled with the disasters in Japan have led to production issues, so there could be some delays!:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -
It doesn't matter where its purchased from all the prices will be the same and the warranty will be exactly the same.
If PcWorld or Currys is closer then go to them.(Either phone ahead of time to check they have stock)

Theres the store numbers, it'll either be answered by a duty manager or a business guy sitting in front of a terminal, takes about 20 seconds to check.0 -
Remember that apple has a 14day moneyback policy (stores & online) even after use so if you find you don't get on with it, you can get a refund with them. Currys/PC World have only an "unopened" return policy for in-store purchases, if I remember rightly, and the DSR (opened for inspection but not used) for on-line. John Lewis has 30day policy but I have heard reports of them taking 20% restocking fee as, if used, they say Ipad is not in "resaleable condition".shazkhan111 wrote: »Don't fancy a trek to the apple store.0 -
pcworld is unopened. Has anyone called pcworld, are they going to have stock on the day. Has anyone bought on apple launch days. What is the best time to get there? 9am?0

Personally I would order through the Apple website and just wait for it to be delivered to my house. If you have a nectar card you can get points on the purchase if you go through the Nectar website.0

Talk is that it will go on sale online at 1am and hit the stores at 5pm. Seems in line with what they did in the US but not with previous UK Apple launches?
Em xXx
ETA - Just found the official info: http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2011/03/22ipad.html

As an active member of the consumer rights board, I would advise against going with PC World and their subsiduraries. In the event of a problem, you will have a fight. (And avoid Comet as well)
However, the apple stores get a lot of praise. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
"and the DSR (opened for inspection but not used) for on-line."
Just to point out, that is illegal. PC World are known for trying to fob you off with such claims. As long as you don't damage it, you can return it used or not within the 7 working days. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
