Am desperately trying to talk myself out of a take away (I wanted one yesterday too), think I'll see if I can get a friend to drive me to a "banquet" Indian on Sunday so I can fulfil my cravings and still spend as little as possible
Have a good day everyone
Hey emylou, still out of action? What's the prognosis? Hope you do get your fix of take away soon, I find it helps to get those cravings out of the way as you say

Hi everybody:hello:
I didnt post on here yesterday, first of all i couldnt find the thread and then later i found it but couldnt log in!
A very trying day altogether really:mad:
Today i have spent £2.15 on eggs and apples and bananas, which brings my total up to £5.62 so far. That should be it for the week now as i have no intention of going out again today!
This week, although i havent really spent any less, (I didnt have to buy a bus ticket) I feel i have been more conscious of my spending since updating my signature to show the weekly challenge figures. Strange how when the totals are there for everyone to see it spurs you on even more!
One thing i wanted to ask was, what does everyone do with their 'leftover' challenge money? I saw Imelda was putting her 46p in her mortgage pig, and i have done this some weeks, but do you treat yourself, carry it over to next week, put it towards something else, mortgage pig, or .....?????
Have a great weekend everyone:DExperience is the toughest teacher because she gives the test first then the lesson

Hello Mrs NM
You got some bananas, did you? How incredibly unsual  :rotfl:
Sorry you couldn't log on yesterday. Happens to me sometimes and it's very annoying!
On weeks where I have leftovers, clearly not this week
, I put it in my cow bank. It's not much usually but hopefully it will build up to something worthwhile at some point.
You are so right about having figures in the signature! Really focuses the mind and raises commitment levels

I've only spent £1.50 on bus fare today! And the spending diary continues......
I even went back a week or so and 'fessed up to myself all the spending I have been doing. Ouch.
But it needed to be done.
I am really looking forward to the New Year when I can really get cracking again on reducing my debt.

Hey Bobbly
As a challenge, on Sundays I ask fellow posters to commit to a budget for spending (excluding debt repayments, bills, food etc - all the budgeted stuff) and then some of us put it onto our signatures. Then we update progress and set anohter budget the next Sunday and so on.
Feel free to join in this Sunday

Hey LA
Well done on going back on the spending diary. It really helps to see it all on there, doesn't it? Glad to see you are getting back on track.
Never apologise for the ramble - we like the info as we are a nosy lot on here as you know
