Vodafone - do they know better customer service than 3?

Im currently taking all my services away from 3, due to their signal getting so poor and india failling to grasp the complaint.
I have always paid and still do, and not really bothered about paying the remainder of the contract all £35 of it lol. (been with them 6 years)

I took vodafone up on a dongle, the service is so so and the signal aint the best but the speed is good. So I have decided on sunday to take up a blackberry deal and move from 3. I placed the order etc all fine.

Now normaly you get an email fairly quick (4-8 hours) saying despatched etc, this time not so I call customer services they found the order however had to transfer me to the online warehouse.

The advisor said that they were awaiting further info from me as it was subject to a spot check, dont have a problem with this however they cant tell me what they want and I cant speak to the department apparently or even be told when they will get intouch.

I called complaints whom transfered me to customer care in India, without even asking me details they cut the call how kind of them. So I call back again and to be told that they are not waiting any further info, however they have no stock.

So the whole issue has cost me £8 alone in calls, for me to be told false info and no idea when to get my phone or when I can port my number. Why not email people and say no stock, they wont even let you collect the phone from a store but you can have it delievered to a store.

You are not new at this board. How come you are surprised by Voda's CS?

Is this a question or are you just venting?

If its a question, no I cant really recommend Vodafone's customer service, although they have a decent and reliable network.

go direct to complaints they are brilliant! go to their website and email the CEO complaints will call you back. customer service are a poor waste of space but the complaints team fantastic!

i had a samsung h1... big mistake! didnt work poor signal calls dropping, facebook not updating emails not pushing ect ect ect the list was and still is endless. Contact center and shop useless! i complained to the CEO and got a call from complaints and within a week i had received two new h1's to try and neither worked and £50 gwg credit. They then swapped me to the N900 which at the time on my tariff was £150 i got it for free and no contract renewal i just continued on already 3 months in.

Then Vodafone failed to release the updates for the N900 software so i complained (on the complaints number i had) as my app's were no longer usable as i needed the new software to update them. They said if it wasn't released in one month i could cancel free of charge, one month later no update so i cancel for free. Got it all in writing too! in the end i had a brilliant service so much so i have gone back to Iphone on vodafone.

Vodafone has terrible customer services these days, as do Orange and 3.

o2 have the best in my opinion.

TBH all networks have some good people and some who have no business being in a customer facing role. The complaints people usually are more clued up so take it up there if you get an incompetent advisor.
