Parking Ticket recieved outside of rental period

:mad:I need some help!!
Back in Jan I rented a car for two days to travel up to Stoke for work, I got back early and dropped the car off about a hour before due.
Last week I recvd an invoice from Eurocar for just under £40 admin along with a note saying as I got a parking ticket at 13.34 on my last days rental and they would pass on my details to NCP for them to chase their £100 charge.
I called and explained that I had dropped the car off early and that had never been to the car park mentioned! when I dropped the car off at 12.30 and my rental was only until 13.30 the guy only checked to make sure the tank was full and took the keys, he never asked me to sign anything.
Anyway I recieved a letter after 3 days to say that the charge stands as they contacted the manager who said I was over 2 hours late dropping it off and he let me off the extra charge!!!!I rent cars through them every month and have never been late EVER.
What are my rights? I picked my daughter up from day care about 30 mins before the ticket was issued and will try and see if a record was kept of me signing her out but apart from that im stuck.....NCP have also now sent me a letter demanding payment. should I tell them of this problem to see if a camara was in the car park to prove I wasnt there?
Any help or advise would be really appreciated
Thanks in advance
The thing that really gets me is that Eurocar crawley not only lied about the parking ticket but the fact they went even further and insist i brought it back after my rental agreement to avoid paying it!!!

For a start forget any charges from NCP they're unlawful and unenforceable. The hassle with Eurocar however is a different story. Surely they have CCTV at their depot so could see when you dropped it off? Or are the tapes suddenly lost...0

So Eurocar are lying to you on a couple of counts.
One - they say you got a ticket - you did not.
Two - they said they let you off a late return payment - they did not.
Stop messing about with the branch and write to Eurocar head office stating the facts, and only the facts.
Tell them you owe them nothing, neither do you owe NCP anything.
Ask for evidence of the late arrival of the hired vehicle.
If NCP get in touch you can either ignore their letters or if you choose write to them and tell them that as you were not the hirer of the vehicle at the time they need to contact Eurocar.
And never hire from them again!0 -
From my experance eurocar are a law on to them selfs..0

I had never thought of that...I will write a letter and ask them to check their CCTV0

Surely it is Europcar, not Eurocar ?0

That is only an agency based in Ireland, so I somehow doubt that is the company referred to.
