I’m still in my first year of driving and it is over on the 10th of May. I’m getting a new car next week and I was going to renew my insurance then this week too. However, the 1 year no claims saves me £600 on insurance. Would I be better holding off to May 10th or could I renew it this week with the 1 year no claims bonus.0

I would change the vehicle on your current policy and then renew on 10 May. You cannot benefit from the one year NCD early!0
