Mr P does says stuff like that all time time. DD2 used to keep a list. 'He's gone up in my expectation' is the latest. When he's writing he is totally incapable of telling the difference between 'properly' and 'probably'. This is because he has some sort of psychological problem, not dyslexia as such, but something similar. Thank heavens he's never tried to sell anything on eBay.

Oh and how could I forget the inexplicable 'flatten your own canoe'?0

May I join in please? My favourite one (not confined strictly to Ebay) is "pacifically" My old boss used to say it all the time & it was all I could do not to correct him. "I pacifically asked him not to do that" Please!!! It's specifically.
I'll shoot back to lurkdom now
This reminds me of the bit in Kath and Kim where Sharon says "Where pacifically in the specific were you gonna go, Mrs D.?" :rotfl:Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £77,006.48 Mar 2037Swagbucks ~ £50 (2025 ~ £240)Surveys~ £66.94 (2025 ~ £238.94)Make £2026 in 2026 #18 ~ £396.58 ~ (2025 ~ £2,368.64)2026 Decluttering Campaign ~ 76/20260 -

Yes I KNOW it's the 29th and I KNOW you want a refund and I KNOW I'll have to refund you. It's been a right old day, with echeques and non-payers and wrong addresses........................0 -

How tempted was I to say....Madam, to calculate the capacity please use the measurements for radius and height as they appear on the listing, with the mathematical equation for volume as per Pythagoras theorem.
I wouldn't mind so much but the capacity is on the listing at 0.75 litre, perhaps that is what threw them?0 -

I love the implication that university students can spell/use correct grammar. In a report we all had to submit last semester, a few got pulled up for writing 'would/should of'...0 -
