This thread is for pedants so the thread may not be pedantic to pedants and if it is pedantic that's a good thing as it's fulfilling it's purpose in life. Where else can pedants express themselves without being accused of pedantry?I'm starting to find all these pedantic threads about grammar really, really tiresome.
You get me?
Hooray for pedants and pedantry!0 -

I'm not one who gets upset over poor spelling and grammer in forum posts, so long as its not txt spk:mad:, and confess I rarely check my own posts especially thoroughly. However I do think ebay is a different matter as, even for private sellers, I think there ought to be a degree of professionalism. In some circumstances it might affect who I bought from.0

the one thing that i always notice is when a listing is stated that:
I brought this.....and found it was the wrong type
bought and brought, sigh.0 -

This is the most popular theory I've found online -
Got your goat originated because people with racing horses used to keep a goat corralled with their horses to keep the horses calm. The horses would get upset and agitated if someone took the goat away so therefore if someone gets your goat you are left agitated.
