pedants eBay grammar thread

Is anyone else amazed at the spelling and grammar you see on eBay?

I should of bought it...you should not of paid...Ive went and sold it...

you're payment is due...etc

Some may argue that it's pedantic to mind and that it really doesn't matter. Surely it matters a lot?

Mistakes clearly don't matter to a lot of people, but they jump out at some of us. Sellers should take some care in their listings (as should all of us replying to this thread!) because errors can put off some potential buyers.

Just think how bad it would have been in the days before half of school leavers were university bound. What will it be like when they no longer are because they can't afford the fees?

I'm starting to find all these pedantic threads about grammar really, really tiresome.

    You get me?
