    LOL :)

I've asked FT but it might be a day or two...

One option, should such a thread start, is that the first post makes it clear that this is NOT a "Vents" type thread.

As in:- All posts must contain a quote of a poor T&C or C.S. response and a quote of the DSR or SOGA that it contravenes.

    "Vents" would be moved out.

I take your point, honest :)

But give me time to check, please.

An option is for someone to start such a thread. If the Forum Team don't bin it or close it then it would certainly be one that would have value as a sticky.

(Keep it clean and be nice :))

We're getting silly now. Do you ask for permission for every thread on here?
    Gone ... or have I?

    Nope.

It does leave a possibility of litigation unless the posts are made in the manner I suggested above, and we do have the vents board.

So I think this one is worth a check.

But as I've said, despite my request - there's nothing to stop you starting such a thread. Right now if you wish. Honest :)

I would agree that they do. The DSR's are mentioned, but it would appear that their policy on outlet items attempts to override them.

It is pretty common. I'm not sure if they have been changed, but Ghost and SexToys refused to refund my delivery charge. I got it back eventually, albeit as a goodwill gesture, not in recognition of the law.

oo-er, did you start a thread about that? :p
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

you might be on sticky ground for endorsing a thread that allows people to slag off a company without justification (i.e as mentioed post a screenshot of their terms and why you think it breaks a piece of law)

that said, has anyone actually reported these companies to their local TS? you might find the business just needs advising.

    Hi all,

The reply from the Forum Team was not to have a name and shame thread.

Doesn't read as a name and shame to me. No mention of actually breaking quoted regs, to date. Grey area innit?

I'm not so sure. The law says that your redress is with the retailer, yet some companies try to tell you that your port of call is with the manufacturer. I thought that that thread was to name the companies that tried to bypass their own legal responsibilities.
