            Homebase's 60litre packs seem far better this year than they have for the past 2 years. 4 for the price of 3 - around £12 I think.0

            Also thinking about investigating prices of the soil conditoner that the local council turn the garden waste that's sent away in the brown bins into. Has anyone had good results with that?
I've bought this and wouldn't hurry to do so again. Maybe different LAs produce different qualities though?0 - 
            County compost is green waste like you get from your own compost bin and is a good soil conditioner but it isn't the same as multi-purpose compost which has nutrients added.
Focus multi-purpose compost was woody but going very cheap last year and it was fine for early potatoes. B&Q's is much better and still under 5p a litre.No longer half of Optimisticpair
