Homebase's 60litre packs seem far better this year than they have for the past 2 years. 4 for the price of 3 - around £12 I think.

County compost is green waste like you get from your own compost bin and is a good soil conditioner but it isn't the same as multi-purpose compost which has nutrients added.

Focus multi-purpose compost was woody but going very cheap last year and it was fine for early potatoes. B&Q's is much better and still under 5p a litre.
