    Using 'sat' instead of 'sitting'. It's often people you would think were educated and literate that make this mistake.

    Going forward...........drives me mad - what does it mean.

    An MP this afternoon said 'We are supporting our troops going forward.' !!!!!!!

    "Yes,no" ... which? ! and saying no whilst nodding their heads and agreeing....

    YES! I hate the 'sat/sitting' thing. Grrr.

    I also don't like it when people misuse can/may.

    A mildly irritating one is "under the circumstances". Technically you cannot be under circumstances. Therefore it should be "in the circumstances".
