and what about when televison presenters pronounce terrorism as "terrism" and deteriorate as "deteriate"

What does irritate me is when it is used where the preceding sentence just isn't funny! Not at all laugh out loud. It kind of devalues the use of LOL and puts it in the same league as "right".

I thought it meant 'lots of love'.
Thought it was odd.
