Morning peeps :hello: I hope everyone is suitably chipper as its the weekend and no more work for 2 days  (sorry for those of us this doesn't apply to :grouphug:) I am reveling in no work and intend to ensure I do not waste a single minute of my me time!

    Today:
    • [STRIKE]check banking & shift funds into bills account[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]update spending diary[/STRIKE][STRIKE] & GC spends[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]finish sorting out spare room as we have an Itallian student for 1 week coming later this eveing [/STRIKE]:T (money towards paying for the cooker as oh now does not want to take the money from his folks)
    • [STRIKE]meal plan[/STRIKE] & trip to supermarket - quick easy & cheap meals all week to reduce work of the student ;)
    • [STRIKE]take old cooker & mattress to the tip[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]fly lady the kitchen - keeps me out of spending money trouble ;)[/STRIKE] phew that was a whole workout in itself!
    • go for a run today & body pump tomorrow whoops didn't do this but did go for a lovely walk with oh
    • email friend on fb about getting together soon
    • finish making my friend's birthday present might be a late birthday present
    • practice portuguese as haven't done any since Monday :o and the next lesson will be here before I know it (Monday)!
    • [STRIKE]put washing on line & keep an eye on it[/STRIKE]
    • list at least 4 things on Ebay & drop a bag off at the CS
    • [STRIKE]go collect parcel at sorting office[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]washed out 3 sandwich bags ;)[/STRIKE]
    • bought a lamp for the spare bedroom £1 in B&Q :T tis pretty cool too ;) (while we were there getting a new toilet seat :o:o:o)
    • went out for lunch with a friend & she paid, I bought her a starbucks later so pretty good deal for me!
    • resisted the urge to spend money while in town - was really hard as I wanted to buy a nail varnish but wasn't prepared to buy it as I left my boots card at home & I knew I had enough on there to get it for free! will get it next time!
    • called the company that I bought the cooker through as they haven't given me my 920 boots points. Whole palarva & they are listening to the call & then calling me back on Tues...
    • picked upa couple of flowerbomb samples - very nice!
    • returned top to DP for refund - finally!
    • applied for first direct bank acc

Yay also received letter from Inland Rev & I am receiving a rebate! very cool :D

Phew that lot should keep me busy! Happy days everyone x

morning stitchy  I prefer to get up early, more time to seize the day! although I appreciate 5ish is a bit early for seizing :p

Am still working on the above as I think its enough to keep me busy! I will also:
    • make apple crumble to use up apples - may investigate apple crisps recipe
    • make banana bread while the chicken is in the oven decided not to bother as have loads of stuff that needs using up
    • [STRIKE]

    • strip carcass of meat & make stock in the SC

    • nipped into town & got the nail varnish for free (boots points) & got another flowerbomb sample :T

Grrrr, when will my body realise that 5.15am is NOT the time to be wide awake, especially on a Sunday!

You'll be ok next weekend, Stitchy, when the clocks go forward ;) xxx

    Hi everyone,

    My main tasks today are:
    • Stay in all day but no online shopping! Will add anything I see and want to buy to Am@zon wish list
    • Do a jigsaw I've been doing for about a month...
    • Read a book :) Room by Emma Donoghue that I think a few of you have read (Go on, treat yourself DNMS...)
    • Finish painting - back of door in bedroom and living room and last bit of skirting board
    • Sort clothes and lunches for work
    • Watch a Spanish prog for free practice (and cos the show is ace! La senora on rtve.es, in case anyone is interested)
    • News online
    • A tiny bit of housework...
    • ETA - list my beloved but rarely used foot spa on e bay - think I could do it for collection only. Is free listing after all so may as well give it a go.
    Have a great Sunday everyone!

Anyone for a :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:??

I'm gonna its just I have about 30 books I've stockpiled to read and think I need to read them before I get anymore! I'm also becoming adept at "treating" myself these days and this is hampering my goals. Gonna hold off till just before payday & if I still have some pocket money left then I am going to buy myself Room & also the perfume oils at ur recommendation young laydee! :p

Good for you! It'll still be the same book after payday after all. If only mine weren't on my kindle, I'd post it to you. xx

I bought it with my expenses cheque for the voluntary work I do. Forgot about that. £3.84 for a book of stamps - before I wouldn't have bothered claiming but every little helps :)

Why not play games in the evening rather than watch TV. They are more fun. Give quality time with the family and save on electricity that the TV uses.

If you're a couple have an early night instead;-)

I may just play scrabble tonight - thanks for the reminder! yup early nights :D are good in so many ways, from bonding, excercise, stress releif & also reduction in electricity costs!:kisses2: :rotfl:

    Debt-free and Proud!

    Hi all

Good to see everyone having a productive weekend:)

Yesterday we had a good LSD. Opticians for me and DD1 and DD2 and whilst I need a new prescription for one lens in my glasses ( cash flow wise may slip that to next month) the DDs were ok. We then went to the park with a picnic which was ace and SO relaxing and then went to an amazing free science/ arts exhibition with the local Uni and a circus school..part of National Science Week I think. Anyway all loads of fun for everyone and all FREE! Last night went to neighbours. So blissful LSD all round- only spends were a small coffee for me while waiting and my eye test ( with a half price voucher)... We even walked into town and back!

Today we are continuing on the theme:

    - have listed stuff on eBay so will be watching that
    - made croissant dough and seeing how they work out. Love them and pretty pricey at the bakers
    - going to the allotment to se if we can clear the rest of the potato site and get some earlies in. Also found a wooden crate in a skip which will be just the thing for a compost heap ( if I can remove a side!)
    - thinking about some solar panels..for environmental but also cost reasons..can't see energy going anywhere other than up esp. Given events in Middle East, Japan etc so thinking about that as a long term option rather than overpaying mortgage. Anyway more research to do before we decide
    - washing on line outside instead of racks inside..can't wait!
    - need to check banking
    - have HM fish pie out of freezer for dinner
    - plan meals for next week as trying not to do a big shop until April which will mean careful use of freezer and store cupboard. Will need a few bits though..including cheese for sure!
    - try and book a campsite for Easter..cheap hols and we will love being away for 4 days!

Think that's it. Have a great day everyone!

    Morning all

We STILL dont have a car so unfortunately I had to cancel my 2 babysits this weekend which would have been worth about £60 :( so I need to be extra good this weekend.

Yesterday wasn't too bad. Took the boys to the park while OH was at the footie. Had a lovely time and ended up spending 3 hours there but with bus fares, icecream, ride and chips on the way home :o I ended up spending about £10!

Will try and do better today. Think we'll go for a nice long walk/bike ride and then they can play out while I get on with the housework and a roast dinner. So my list for today:

    - washing
    - ironing
    - put clothes away

    - cook roast
    - tidy up toys strewn throughout the house
    - NSD
    - check for surveys
    - check for mystery shops

hope everyone is enjoying a lovely sunny weekend :j

    Mxxx
