When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :D

Hi everyone :hello:

Thought I'd get us started this fine morning. I hope everyone has great money-saving/debt-busting weekends lined up. If you're looking for some motivation please post with us! It's great to see how much you're getting through over the weekend. Or just pop in for the small things chat :D

Here's my listaroo:
  • Finish washing up asap - water will still be hot from last night
  • Heating off/low; jumpers on... Windows are open anyway
  • Call mum with free wknd mins :)
  • Catch up with stuff on 4od/iplayer
  • Check Spanish soaps - bit of free practice
  • Tick off the list on my diary - won't bore you with my housekeeping woes on here :p
  • SC something
  • TV night in tonight
  • Walk to charity shop
Catch up throughout the day to see what everyone else is up to.

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Goooooooood morning! The ruddy sun is out, he has his hat on, hip hip hip hooooray!

    Today I have so far:
    • Had breakfast from stores
    • Checked my meal plan to remind myself what yummy food I am having and that we have everything in
    • Put a wash on quickwash
    • Put an airer full of washing in the hot patio window so that will be dry v soon ready for the current wash
    And still to do:
    • Lunch and dinner from meal plan and stores
    • Walk to town to spend some boots points and feel like I have splashed out! Think I have about £45 on there through savvy points coupons lol. Only buying toothpaste, wipes and facewash, nothing special! Ooo also have 2 No5 vouchers, will see if I can get anything with those without spending actual currency!
    • NSD! This is easy when you have no money to spend. Will be a few of these this week!
    • Hubby to walk to and from work.....still on the theme of skint, the car gets an enforced rest!
    • Record my food down for SW, this will help me to focus and then I will get back to target, so ultimately MS as it wont cost me £4.95 per week
    • Bit more spring cleaning....
Hope everyone is having a lovely, sunny, productive day!
