  • Hi

I have lost track will all the falling out regarding this subject so if i could just help the poster a little on this issue. You have accepted you were in the wrong using the blue badge and it could be said that the traffic warden thought that you were the holder, the only way that i can see round this problem is to write a very apologetic, humble letter to council without delay. Its worth mentioning the misunderstanding with the traffic warden but please try not to put blame there, but as this was an errand for your nan and the conversation you had with the warden you had no idea you were doing anything wrong. You now realise that it can only be used when your nan is present and that this will never happen again. Just out of curiosity had you dropped your nan off anywhere or was she at home? If you had dropped her off then you wouldn't have done anything wrong.

Explain your financial circumstances and tell them how grateful you would be if they would accept your humble appologies on this occasion.

I am disabled myself and it was a nightmare getting my blue badge i was really put through the mill, but i genuinly do need my badge and i am not getting at you, but its because of people misusing these badges that makes the process so much harder. I really hope you can get this sorted but you do need to act quickly and hope that your case is dealt with leniance. The worst possible outcome is your nan losing her badge and you getting a hefty fine, i don't know if you would get a criminal record if this went to court with it being classed as fraud.

Get as much advice as you can ie CAB but don't leave it act as soon as you can. A humble letter may work, i wrote a letter for my neighbour to the courts as she was driving without a seatbelt but when she was stopped it turned out she wasn't insured to drive the vehicle aswell so was prosecuted. She was driving her brothers car and was insured on her husbands insurance so she thought she was covered. To cut a long story short ,i wrote a very humble letter for her and she was fined ONLY for not wearing a seatbelt, so it can work.

Good luck if i can help any further just PM me
