She insists that I cannot be CRB checked as I don't have a passport, she insisted she was right even though I had with me the list of required documents we work from at school. She isn't prepared to accept my existing CRB either.

Silly mare, no you don't need a passport. Ideally it's easier to have the items on List 1 of the requirements but not essential as all you need to do is provide five from List 2. Otherwise it's just three items of ID, one of which is from List 1, so driving licence, original birth certificate etc and the remaining can be from List 2, so can be marriage certificate, national insurance card etc. One ID must show your current name and address.

Perhaps they need further training!!!!! The only thing she was correct about is that you can't use CRB's from other settings/workplaces etc.

Hester that really annoys me they even ask for one when you apply for a job now, even though it is not a legal requirement both my DH and DD got theirs no trouble without a passport smiley-angry002.gif your Birth certificate and a utility bill should suffice

Quick post cos I have to leave for a Drs appointment in 20 mins so I will pop back later

Congrats Moliere what a lovely name:beer:
Emsf sounds lovely, hope the kids enjoy it:D

    Happy Birthday Camelot:beer:

JG can I have the chicken tikka recipe please

BDF don't worry it took my DH a while to get on board but now he is great, better than me sometimes. Our current project is a home office at the bottom of the garden. Pre OS he would have gone out and ordered an all singing all dancing expensive ready made office. He is building it from scratch using recycled and donated materials:T

Today will be mainly cooking, need to nip to Mr T's first and post the ebay sales.

My DS has gone to school in his version of something red, an ultra cool version that he has been planning for days, oh to be 14 and popular;)

House to myself today so a day of cooking and listening to the radio, my idea of bliss and then hopefully a nice restful wk end.

Have a good Friday friends x

    Morning all!

Grey and damp here today, seems very gloomy after the glorious sunshine yesterday! Still it's payday and I'm off work today, yippee! Plans for today involve the usual rounds of housework, though house has stayed remarkably tidy the past few days - suspect girls are fed of me moaning about the state of their rooms so are trying to distract me by not making a mess elsewhere! It's nice to have everything done ready for the weekend though, so we can all relax! Also planning to pick up rest of flooring this afternoon whilst ds is off college to lend a hand.

Lunches: ham sarnies (good job they all like ham, been having it for days!), clems, cake and cheese
Dinner: pie and chips - nice and easy :)

Have a good day all, going to have a nosey and a cuppa now xx

    Morning All ,

HH - grrrrr on your behalf! Not only was she wrong, also incapable of listening to you!
esmf - sounds like such a fun day you've got planned I might tag along - where shall I meet you? :D
Happy birthday camelot - have a great day xx

Well TFI Friday folks! In two weeks it'll be my last day at work! My friend here has decided to work out how many seconds I have left at work so I realise that it's "actually quite a long time". I have politely pointed out to him that at 37, it's likely he has 30 years left at work in comparison to my 2 weeks :rotfl: He's now sulking and sticking his tongue out at me from the other side of the office :rotfl:

Watched some of the walk that was done for RND last night and while it's admirable and I could never do something like that, i did have to laugh at one of the younger celebrities commenting that they "never thought it would be this hard"... Yeah, walking 100 km across a desert in 48 degree heat - dead easy... facepalm.gif Anyway, they raised lots of money so that's point, but it did make me giggle.

OS today, washing, ironing, and thinking of something nice for tea!

    Hugs to all xx

    Morning peeps,

    Happy Birthday Camelot :bdaycake:

    Congratulations Moliere

Esmf-Enjoy your weekend! Im looking to do something similar with DD soon.

Gloomy gloomy here after such a lovely week of sunshine too (well most of the time).

No work for me today.Mum took DD to school-dressed in red for RND and her 50p,she was very excited to be out of uniform, bless her!
Lazy morning after having a late night :o 'New fella' brought round chinese and a bottle of wine and we stayed up late watching films and chatting...usually in bed by 10pm so 1am was a shock to the system, but still i had a lovely night :D:D.

Got a little bit of ironing to do,take pooch for a walk and give her a bath then general tidy up and hoover.Washing will go on when DD gets home so i can have a empty wash basket....for one night at least!!
DD is at her dads tomorrow overnight so im going round to see 'New fellas' house. Hes been doing it up to put on the market so wants to show off all his hard work,so sweet! After that im off out for girlie drinks and dancing  i can see mischief and mayhem on the horizon :rotfl:

Right time for a good nose through forum....Have great days x

Julie67 Read post number 3 this points you to the base sauce, and then to the Butter Chicken Recipe, then to the post which tells you how to turn the Butter Chicken recipe into Chicken Tikka.

I've tried the Korma and Chicken Tikka (And the Butter Chicken is in a few weeks and then the Chicken Bhuna after that!) If you are careful with portion control these are all perfectly great for low Gi! We have one every 2nd week! My advice is that the Tikka had a little too much lime, so I would add a tiny bit less next time, and I added sugar to the both, but not a lot! (Yes I know Sugar is not great on Gi, but all the other indredients are!)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Happy birthday camelot! :) and congrats mioliere :)

It's beautifully sunny today - and that beats all my problems today! :D

Got washing on the line and even have time for a short tea break before getting DS from nursery school! Sister coming for lunch, then have to tidy up a bit, iron and pack a small case cos DH and I and the babies are off for the weekend! :j:j Just one of those coach trip, 2-cities breaks, but it will be so nice to have a change of scenery, someone else to cook tea/breakfast etc!!

Have a lovely Friday, see you later
