There should be a control somewhere in there (probably labelled 1-5) that alters the amount of salt dispensed. Check the instruction book.0 -
A tip we were given by a hoypoint repairer was to not use tablets but powder because tablets are not very good for dishwashers but he didnt go into the ins and outs. Also to make sure the salt level and rinse aid is kept toped up whether you use tablets or powder.
on a money saving side why pay for tablets with salt and rinse aid when you already have salt and rinse aid?
the other thing is make sure the crud basket is clean :-)0 -
oh yeah, and someone else said wash the plates before hand - he hesmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

I think you do both. Check with the waterboard to see how soft / hard your water is, then check with the manufacturer or booklet to see which setting to set it on based on that.robnye wrote:i dont control what level of salt my dishwasher dispenses, i just put the salt in a container (of sorts) under a screw on lid at the bottom of the machine, we alsways us e finish tablets, admittedly if it doesnt have salt in, a light shows and the longer we leave adding salt, the less clean the dishes are.....
Again there should be a dial to alter to amount of salt dispensed as one op said before, however on some models it is controlled using the electronic buttons. Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow.0
