It all depends on what connections you have on your laptop and TV! If both are fairly modern and have an HDMI port you just need an HDMI cable of a suitable length.
How old/what model is the laptop?
What type/model of TV do you have?

Older laptops sometimes have a yellow video output that can be connected to the TV either directly or via a SCART plug adapter.

If you go on the techy forum and tell them what model etc you've got, somebody will tell you exactly what to use. It can't be that difficult cos my OH does it :)

It depends on your telly what sockets (inputs) it has, and what outputs you computer has.

Maplin sell a converter box at around £35 that will take VGA from the laptop and convert to video to plug in to the telly.

Need to know what sockets you've got on both though
