Hi everyone!!
anyway i havt got any qualifications just my gcse's.
i havnt worked since i had my first child 5 years ago my youngest is almost 4.
in september my youngest goes to full time school,
and i'd like to be able move in with partner and contribute to us living, to do that i need to find a job!
i havn't much family so 'free child minders' isnt an option so i need to be able to take and pick up children.
however with holidays 6 weeks etc my partner works very different hours per week. so i'd need something that works around that for the children.
idealy it be a from home job, or a 9.30-3 job.
i know asking wayyy too much even i get confused!
i've tried avon, buying and selling etc but dont earn enough for us to live together.
im not asking anone find me a job, even my job adviser struggles as she said i'd be working just to pay child care, we spend hour every week going through jobs, but none are even close to what i can do!
i feel like im stuck in a rut and struggling get out and don't see no light...
i know i had my children and its my fault i dont need to judged please

I used to manage for a large supermarket and we would happily take what I call school hours contracts
Have you thought what your going to do in the holidays with your child? that could be a problemMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!

Is there a reason you cant use paid childcare?
Please dont take this the wrong way, but I was a SAHM for many years and it has done me no favours career or confidence wise.
Wish I had gone back to work full time when my child was small. Other women do it. I was just scared, which you sound like a bit.0 -

i am scared as i know nothing and i get panicky in situations.. i have no confidence at all my only company is my children and when partner comes round.
child care cost are expensive i looked into it and for 2 children its alot, both are settled into school and cost extra for them to be picked up etc i'd be working just to cover nursery costs.
my son as adjustment problems and i'm scared he'll be unsettled guess i'm just worried.
i'm hoping move in with partner when i can provide a income for us to do so, and work around his hours etc in school holidays.0 -
Places like McDonalds can employ you on school hours (9-3 in term times) as they get a lot of students prepared to work in non-term times0

.
I am exactly same so know how hard it is. I have been working for a year now, but can only manage 20 hours and find even that difficult. My doctor has been really helpful. I am on anti depressants and on a waiting list for CBT, so maybe a trip to docs will help.
I do know some nurseries sometimes look for lunch time helpers. You would be ideal for care work, but a lot of places want weekends, which a shame as many mums like you would be ideal. There are things like dinner lady/lollipop lady, but councils are cutting back.
There are jobs from home you can do, have a look in the "up your income section"0 -

Have a look at http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk theres loads of info on what kind of apprenticeships there.
From the site
There may be different entry requirements for Apprenticeships depending on the occupational sector. Individuals just need to be living in England and not taking part in full-time education.
Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16years-old whether they are just leaving school, have been working for years or are seeking to start a new career.0 -
Your not too old for an apprenticeship, you can be an apprentice up to the age of 64 now

but most only accept you if you have no college experience and no nvq's ... i went college for 3 years and did hairdressing im fully qualified but since having children theres nvq 3 and to get a job most require that and salon experience. in the end i gave up with whole thing and willing try anything else! lol.0 -

I don't subscribe to that conspiracy theory. You've basically told them that you won't work for them during their busiest period.0
