IMO someone who can't afford to keep their car running shouldn't be looking at buying a house and with these please if they do put an offer in be prepared to be messed around!

I was doing the EXACT same thing in my head!!!
  • Oh Anderson8, how annoying. I've been returning to this thread just to see what happens.

I'd be very interested in more posts from people who are selling, regarding number of viewings they are getting.

We have been on the market 5 weeks now and only had 2 viewings and one 'cancelled at the last minute viewing'. My husband has heard that it takes on average 10 viewings to get an offer. At this rate we will be here for ever.

I'm pretty sure that price must be the major factor. We have already done a large drop from the original price we were advised from 3 different agents. They must have all overvalued to try to get our business.

So do we just keep dropping the price untill we get a decent flow of viewings? I feel our house will now just look 'stale' and as if there is something wrong with it, having missed out on a sensible initial price, and a nice rush of viewings.

Do people see a series of drops as a sign of desperation? or do they see that you are a motivated seller?

I'd be grateful to hear of other's experiences.
