I've had the same problem too. But hopefully it's sorted now.
I applied online for the cedit card on Monday, it said that it was accepted and told me my credit limit. It also said that I would receive an email shortly.
Wednesday evening I had still not received the email so phoned MBNA, the lady said that my application was being processed and that I should receive the email within 24 hours.
I never did receive the email, but Friday morning I had a letter in the post from MBNA asking me to call them. I called the 0800 number and the man on the phone asked me a few questions and said that I should have my card within 10 days.
I then received my confimation email about 10 seconds after putting the phone down.

I got a limit of £7k.

According to the bumph that came with it cashback is paid annually in January.
