    Hi rubyduby :)

The folks on the In My Home board may be able to help you out here, so I'll move the thread across.

    Good luck :)

OP, have you tried Central Services (UK) Ltd in Stoke?
    Phone them on 01782 599258

Their website talks about Franke products, but Carron Pheonix spare parts have been found there.

Wow! £300 for a tap and it only lasts 5 years. I'm glad that I bought sensibly priced taps that have lasted nearly 20 years.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Very useful post, I am sure the OP will be grateful.

Carron Phoenix still supply this tap but if they've changed manufacturer that would account for how they sent you the wrong one. After all its the external appearance of the beastie and performance that matters to the consumer rather than how its guts work.

At least they are trying to source a replacement cartridge for you from their previous supplier.

    Cheers

LOL! The most expensive normal tap I have sold was £1,200! I have also sold some Zip boiling and chilled water taps at about £2,500. The most expensive tap I have found is from a manufacturer Triflow Concepts, they make a tap designed by Zaha Hadid. One version of this tap costs over £7,000. Haven't sold one yet, may be one day!
