When I was in a similar situation we were told that if we wanted a single room we had to pay £25 towards it.
Why not see if this is an option ?2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.

When I was in the rat race and going to residential training things and conferences sharing was always the order of the day. We did have one choice though, whether to share with a smoker or non smoker (that's how long ago it was).0

I'll bet the management aren't sharing rooms, well, unless it's the CITB in which case they are probably in a double, not a twin...;)
[For Life is But a Dream and other construction types]...If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Frankly, I think having to double up in this day and age is miserly and bad mannered. Only boarding school brats and army recruits are expected to share with virtual strangers. Nasty company.0

I went on a conference once with a previous employer. The conference was an industry one and I was selected to go onto it - no idea why as I worked as a CSA in a call centre and the other dozen or so colleagues that went from offices I worked were managers and team leaders!
Put in this very posh hotel suite with a jacuzzi and a sauna. It was for 4 nights and the cost of the suite for 4 nights must have been more than my monthly pay packet! Conference itself was boring in large parts, but the playing with the technology at the conference, food (at conference centre and hotel), suite and hotel facilities made up for it.0 -

I had school trips made a misery as I had to share a room with billy no mates. As the friendship groups don't tally with the room allocations. As there could be 8 lots of 3 friends, but only 6 rooms for 3 people.0 -
Your best bet is to find out if other people are unhappy with this arrangement and then approach management. Safety in numbers, an' all that.0
