    Morning all,

Lovely sunny day here but very chilly....wash almost finished so will put it out when I get back from watering bro's plants. Glad its fine for the wedding DD4 is at....although they will be cold as dresses are all strapless I think and bride refused to allow wraps...have never heard such nonsense overall about a wedding....

Ruby...glad to hear that things are working well for your parents, sometimes it just takes a bit of help.

Hester....trust that you keep your job

Bitsy....trying to figure out which shop in Dublin you mean....

Starting my swimming lessons to-night and feeling very nervous....at my age I should be able to just go for it.....

Dinner to-night will be slow roasted lap of lamb with baked potatoes and veg...not sure what yet. Made rice in microwave for pudding yesterday, we had it with last of pineapple....really enjoyed it as hadn't had rice pudding for ages.

Husg to all in need or want of one

    Morning

Well i did have truly lazy day yesterday as I went back to my bed yest lunchtime, got up in time to get the kids from school then went back to bed till OH shouted up that dinner was ready, eat my dinner and went back to bed.

I am shattered again today. I think it is a mixture of being a nightshift worker and also having fibromyalgia, I just never seem to have any energy :(

So OS has been lacking today but I did hang up the washing and I have put another washing in the WM but thats about it.

Dinner will be chicken breast steaks, veg and totties.

    Morning all :)

We liked the house (even though it looked super bad in the photos, it was actually pretty close to perfect for us) and want to put an offer in - not sure what to do now :rotfl:

Area is okay; not sparkling, but no worse than where we are now (kids wandering round with 2litre bottles of fanta rather than with 2litre bottles of cheap cider, so it passes that test :rotfl: ). House is going through probate, vendor wants shot of it PDQ. - great for us. Suddenly feel like I am getting old very efficiently.

OH and I are in the process of saving up enough Amazon vouchers to buy white goods for the kitchen (we get them at work for writing technical reviews) :rotfl:

Couldn't be bothered to cook last night as I was on the ceiling so I ate cereal and pringles for tea. Such is life. :)

floss, you're so positive, stay that way :D very jealous of your holiday, i used to go every few months and was sick of it, but now haven't been at all for 3/4 years and crave it!!
bitsy, i know the shop you mean, bit like primarni here haha
jackie, hope the snow goes soon and gives you a break!
redruby good to hear things are calm xx

Hi all, I've been pretty absent due to er... busy? tired? not getting much OS in? I have lots of uni work at the minute which I have yet to get very far with as I'm trying to catch up on sleep and overdue OS chores from the last batch of exams and courseworks two weeks ago!! Ex-OH has been giving me heeeelllll, but friends are all being very nice and the guy I am seeing gave me flowers after ex-OH kicked off at me yesterday :o
It's my cousin's wedding friday so the family's all in a flap! No expense spared for certain relatives, MOB has a £600 outfit, everyone's got sophisticated new clobber but I've got a £6 sale outfit :rotfl: Oh dear! I wish I could go up early to help with flowers etc(I worked in my aunt's florist for a few years) but I can't even get there in time for the ceremony!! My cousin is fine with me bombing it up there (and getting changed on the train) in time for the dinner, it'll be lovely!! It's the first "big" thing to happen amongst the grandkids and it's such a shame my grandad isn't here to see it :(

I don't really have much choice that to stay positive in my role, I'm first point of contact for all of my bosses' visitors, including staff who have come for their personal meetings and they don't really want me weeping & wailing all over the place! Professionalism all round works best :)

Re the holiday - this is our first holiday overseas since January 2007, and it's actually just me tagging onto a work trip of DH's :D We're also going to Portugal in September for our honeymoon/ 1st wedding anniversary.

Have been clearing out the food cupboard. It's the cupboard under the stairs and we have squeezed 2 shelf units in it, they literally fit back to front and side to side. It's the first time I have done it in 3 years and I haven't really done it before as I just chucked the food into boxes from our old house and put them into the cupboard here.

The amount of food that is over 3 years old is embarrasing. But I am determined to keep a proper check on it all now, especially as I have filled a wheely bin half way with food plus there was some in the bin before the bin men came.

OMG the sun is shinning and there is not a cloud in the sky and with it came a burst of energy for me so I have hung out the 2nd washing and I actually cleaned out my car  (it's not been done in sooo long). Just need to wash it but I will take it a car wash as I am lacking in height and really struggle to reach parts to wash it myself.

I have actually turned of the heating as well as it is now fairly warm. Funny how the weather changes, yesterday it snowed all day, this morning was very foggy and drizzle of rain and now the sun.

Ah well not complaining. Might actually do the dishes in a minute.

meanmarie - good luck with swimming!

Went to work again today, feeling but brighter too :) Have uni this afternoon so a short work day. Think I'll be exhausted by end of uni though. One of my classmates has kindly offered to pick me up :A.
I am just finishing off a piece of work and then will be off.

OS wise - bins emptied, DW filled, fed stale bread to birds

    Have a good day all
