Morning my lovelies

Off to Forest School this morning. Am on here early because well DD decided 6am was the best time to start the day so I am up and ready ahead of my usual routine
Tea is chicken and chorizo stew and smells lovely
Need to get some cat food this afternoon and squeeze in some housework too.
Nothing else to report, dull and grey here but no frost so I suppose that's something.
Hester - 7 heads? Hmmmmm sounds a bit like the NHS Records Department my H used to work in <rollseyes> Hugs xx
Floss - wow it's going to be 9 years since I took H to Dublin for his 30th Birthday :rotfl: There's a shop in Dublin (I assume it's still going) with my H's family surname. He imagined a really nice shop like John Lewis but it was more akin to Poundland :rotfl::rotfl:
redruby - hope things stay on an even keel for you, your mum and your dad x
Hugs for those with poorly kids, spouses and being unwell themselves.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Morning All,
Just a quickie. Hester that sounds like a pain in the backside, hope your job is OK.
Made rolls at 11pm last night, and veggies sausage mix, which meant the boys woke up to a cooked breakfast this morning, I hate sending them out to school on cereal and toast every day but its been hapening too often. I have a million and one things to do after school/work today, including taking the boys to the dentist and paying OH's driving fine . Feeling a bit stressed and the day hasn't even begun, I am struggling being back at work and juggling thing
Be back later, have a good day, stay safe.

PS Gers the snow never melted here last night and has frozen solid overnight, I don't know how widespread it is, but drive carefully. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Morning All ,
MIA the last couple of days I think - I can't actually remember
. I was that tired last night I didn't remember to set an alarm - luckily, depending on how you look at it, baby decided 6:45 was the perfect time to start the baby disco on my bladder, so we didn't oversleep :rotfl:
Had an appointment with the obstetrician yesterday - all is well with bubba, measurements perfect, head down and all that. Get to see him again in 4 weeks which is good - really gives us peace of mind.
Should be completing the last bit of my job handover today which means all I have left to do before April 1st is read through the documentation and ensure that it's correct :j
Tea tonight will be Spanish Chicken. Hugs to all xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning All
Foggy and cold here today.
DS was a s*d to get up this morning and he fell back to sleep and didn't get up until 8am
I get up at 6.30am to do pack ups and start calling him at 7.15am so I am annoyed with him today.
Going over to the Freezer trade shop today to see if they have any new stuff in this week - it is a bit hit and miss so you have to get stuff when you see it because it may not be in again.
Hester and floss the scale of redundancies is now getting scary, with a lot more to follow in the next couple of months.
Well I am off to get my hair dried have good days everyone x
Keep safe and warm all of you up North it sounds really dicey up there x xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Good Morning All,
Definitely a day at home today, might even stay in my PJ's:j
Went to see mum and dad last night and what an horrendous journey. We didn't set off until 5.30 when DH got in from work and went the way we always do which is through holmfirth and over the pennines. The fog was horrendous, really scary and it took a good 2 hrs to get there. Needless to say we came back on the motorway but still really bad patches of fog, just glad I wasn't driving but glad to get home in one piece:eek:
Hester/Floss work sounds tough ((hugs))
Tigerfeet Oh no more bedding, hope todays the last day for a while
Redruby glad to here your dad is doing ok
Lowesy not long now, very exciting
Bitsy Chicken and chorizo sounds lovely you've inspired tomorrows tea
Tea tonight will be sausage casserole, mash and broccoli, not sure what I will have yet.
BB I did make the fruit cake yesterday:cool: don't know what it is about fruit cake its my baking nemesis, never turns out as moist as I would like. Any fail safe recipes would be much appreciated:)
Will finish my crochet baby blanket so that I can go out tomorrow and buy some more baby wool for my next project.
Have a good Wednesday everyone x
Just to add DH was very apologetic when he came home and brought me a bunch of tulips so he is forgiven

Morning all!
The snow is nearly gone at this side of Glasgow, Jackie must be more unlucky than us! Still foggy and damp, so more wet washing hanging about the house. Have blitzed bathroom this morning, need to empty ironing basket later and organise dinners for next couple of days as I am working. Mince and tatties requested for tonight, so that's easy enough, just quick meals for OH and DS for 2 days to sort out and something portable for me for lunch and dinner at work, methinks the soup pot will be filled again!
Better get a move on, have a good day everyone!RIP Iain

Morning all!
Weather was gorgeous here all day yesterday, and temps have def risen, which is fab as we're still waiting for our gas tank to be filled! Got half my flooring yesterday, thought if I bought the whole amount then my car might protest! Anyway, will drag ds off on Friday to get the rest with me - need a bit of muscle power for the lifting and carrying!
dd3 has gone off today dressed as Tracy Beaker for her school book day, dd2 was in a difficult mood and decided to tell her she looked nothing like TB and would be sent home from school, cue much squealing! dd2 has now been grounded for a week for being rotten, and fibbing - she denied saying anything at all then went on to tell me that lots of children were sent home and that was all she'd said! Having already had 3 children go through the school I'm pretty confident that dd3 won't be sent home lol!
Feeling a bit droopy at the mo, not sure why as slept well, but have decided house is fairly spick and span, will get ds to run the hoover round later (his day off college), and will sort out the dw and wm before I go to work, have given the kitchen a quick S&S, so am having a lazy pottering morning! Working till 9pm this eve, so at least that will get me moving later!
Dinner tonight is quick and simple, chilli and nacho layered bake, pud will be yoghurts which were on offer in Lidl at buy one get two free! I shall take something to work to keep me going, will have a poke around the freezer!

Good morning all very grey and misty here in north Kent, dry though, which I suppose is something.Staying away from food shops as much as possible as I'm off on my holidays in two weeks time so I want to eat as much as I can from my freezer.I found two lamb chops this morning in there, so thats dinner sorted tonight, and I am going to make a big pot of leek & tattie soup as I seem to have lots of spuds .I found a bag of leeks in the freezer as well.Plus a bag of 'forest fruits and blackberries that I had forgotten so that's pudding sorted for a couple of days as I have some creme frais to use up before the weekend.
I had a phone call from my sis-in-law in Bromley and she is coming down for the weekend on 26th which will be lovely as she's not been able to visit for ages. Her DD lost her OH and she has been with her and the children virtually constanly since, so I'm really looking forward to seeing her .my Brother phoned me last night from France and he sounds so much better since his heart op. and more like his old self .
My DGS Danny's show that he's working on is on BBC2 now in the afternoon Its a quiz show called Pointless and he is head runner on it .Another credit to his CV , he's a good lad is my Danny and works very long hours but loves every minute of what he is doing. He hangs around the lighting chaps and camera men to learn from them whilst the others go off for coffees he is a bright lad who will one day hopefully be a fully fledged producer /director which is his aim.
Well time for some coffee I think, hope everyone has a good day
Cheers chums

Morning all, oh my goodness it is so foggy, I can't even see to the end of the garden:eek:.Couldnt sleep again last night I hope it doesn't mean I will have to change my tablets again. So another sleepy slobbing around day today.;)No washing to do today , dw was on has now been emptied.I have made another ginger cake and am going to put a cream cheese topping on it like carrot cake. Now have bread pudding in the oven as had lots of bread bits left over from loaves. Will be making lots of cup cakes later and icing them tonight with dd and putting a red cherry nose on them for the red nose cake sale tomorrow..............no change that will be doing that tomorrow, wishing the days away this week;) Dinner tonight will be sausage and mash with sweetcorn and carrots with onion gravy.
Hope you are all well have a good day everyone.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0
