Lower BIN fees for shops.
Higher FVF for BIN and auctions in some categories, increase to 10% for collectables and 12% for clothing. Lower for technology, 3%.

media 9% and that is i suppose books etc.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0

I think the clothing market is going to change dramatically, a big put off for many sellers.
I will definitely stay well away from clothing.
I was wondering if they may be trying to get rid of the really cheap stuff, to maximise the use of their servers.
They also obviously want everyone to have a shop as the fees for bin are going down from 20p to 10p.
Which if you use multiple quantities is not great saving compared to the increase in fees in some categories.0 -
I sell loads of DVD's and books. A hike upto 9% is a bitter pill to swallow.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0

I wonder if the big outlets are having the same increase in fees.0

are they trying to squeeze out all the small players!
this year alone they have had over £500 from me in fees, and they want more?!0 -

Exactly! As long as you've done your sums correctly and you're making a decent profit after paying those fees then its a win-win situation for you and eBay.If you've paid over 500 in fees they must have successfully advertised and helped you to sell a fair bit of stuff. It seems pretty good to me!
Its the sellers who buy something for 50p and sell it on ebay for £1 and think they've doubled their money that I can't understand. It seems like they're oblivious to fees, postage and packing costs, etc! These increases will hurt them even more if they carry on!0 -

No offence but that is really small fry to them; we are still a very small seller and our fees are that much a month. I doubt they are that bothered about our custom.
The clothing increase is an odd one I feel; it could actually encourage more fakes as people will struggle to maintain their profit margins.
More interesting is the shop fees change; most shops are Featured, and there are no changes there. Basic shops have reduced listing fees (which encourages you to take a shop in the first place), and Anchor shops also have cheaper fees now (always good to throw a few nice things to the big boys that make you the most money).
Only time will tell how the changes pan out though.0 -
I realise that I am a small fish in a big pond - working on it!0
