I don't really see my GP much these days, I see the cardiologist at the hospital more these days.

The problem with the prescription is that a receptionist prints off the repeats and gets the doctor to sign, even though I always specify colours on the phone I almost always get "honey" or "beige" and the pharmacist has to give what's on the script.

I only ever get black with I get the prescription direct from the doctor but I feel bad wasting an appointment to specify the colour of my tights.

Why don't you just write to your GP enclosing a stamped addressed envelope and requesting the prescription you want. Ask for it to be put onto repeat for the future. No sweat for your GP.

I get prescribed compression stockings and I used to be able to order ones privately that came in colours not available on the NHS. My old stripey ones are done and I can't remember the company name at all to buy more online.

Does anyone know of a company that does stripey compression stockings in the medium compression range?
There are so many brand and variation with RIBBED stripey compression stockings. ;) But I like Jobst most. Now I am using Jobst SoSoft. The price is only 63.98 USD. I found their is market lowest. I found great collection here: legstherapy.com/compression.html There are some other brands like Venosan, Futuro; which I use before Jobst.

ive googled coloured compression stockings and i think you might be looking for http://www.prlog.org/10432405-sigvaris-develops-magic-colours-compression-stockings.html
Modern women in the prime of life, who take pleasure in beautiful things, who like travelling and going out, should also be able to express their own unmistakable style in the compression stockings they wear and add their individual flair with suitable colours. So SIGVARIS left nothing to chance when defining the MAGIC COLOURS. The colours of the future were researched at a workshop in Berlin together with representatives from twelve countries participating in Intercolour, the international network of fashion experts.

MAGIC COLOURS compression stockings: The spirit of the moment – in colour.
SIGVARIS offers up-to-the-minute products and a wide range of opportunities for combining them with the latest fashion. For MAGIC COLOURS fit the trends of today – for all wearers of compression stockings who like to dress fashionably and with style.

UK site but they just do the usual shades in stockings at £65 a pair .. .. the calf length at £50 are brighter - another UK site. I had another look at China but can't find anyone in the UK distributing them.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I also wear compression hosiery due to lymphoedema. I would love to be able to wear something a bit brighter, rather than Nora Batty beige!

I suspect though that any of these wonderful, colourful garments won't be entirely suitable because of the weird shape of my right leg. All compression hosiery I have had has caused my scar area more problems that they are worth.

I am currently between being bandaged again and wearing the farrow wrap, which is hideous to put on and look at but is suiting me much better.

Lol this thread is ancient, I am still compressed round the clock but I can use low compression rather than medium so lots more choice.
