16 year olds staying in hostel

Hello My daughter has anounced that she and 3 friends want to go to the coast at the weekend and stay in a hostel, on their own. I feel like they are still a bit young for this, but she is giving me a really hard time over it. She says all the other girls are allowed. Am I overreacting?

I spent 2 weeks in a tent in Cornwall when I was 16 - A long way from home!

My daughter went away at 16 to a hostel with her boyfriend. Both of them very sensible and they had a great time - although of course I worried the whole time they were away! Probably does depend on the maturity though - I would me much more trusting of my daughter at 16 than me at 16 - lol
