Another thing to find out what it is/means.
Android is an operating system made by Google for smartphones. It is the market leading operating system by sales followed by Apple.
Android is more open in what you can produce with and for it than Apple, by reputation at least.
A Smart Phone is basically a not very good computer that you can also make phone calls and send text messages with. I have an iPhone but I think next time I'd get an Android based phone due to the openness thing.0 -

Unlocking is a phrase I don't really understand
Your url was obliterated with !!! signs
Not sure what redemption means in context
It's all lost me I'm afraid.
Don't worry, as soon as you use words like hubpages and adsense my eyes glaze over.
Unlocking just means the mobile can be used on any network rather than only the network that you bought it with. So a phone you bought with Orange can be used on O2.
Redemption is a mobile phone contract deal where you pay say £25 a month but can get £30 back every three months by submitting your last 3 bills within 28 days of receiving the third bill or similar. Designed to make the deal seem cheap but not everyone bothers to get the redemption because their either forget to follow the pedantic terms correctly or can't be bothered with the hassle. Combine a redemption deal with a cashback site for purchase, paying with a credit cards that give you airmiles/ Tesco points etc etc and you could get a phone on a virtually free deal.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Just to say with carphonewarehouse companies like mobiles dot co dot uk, e2save and onestopphoneshop you can now claim the cashback by downloading the pdf of the relevant bill and then uploading it by webform with a 60 day window which definitely makes claiming much simpler and at £100+ per claim (for my current contracts) I can certainly remember!
The old system of having to post paper copies of multiple bills in a tight time window and make sure you use recorded post was much less user friendly and by using a car phone warehouse company hopefully it is fairly safe from the supplier going broke which did used to be a frequent occurrence.Don't worry, as soon as you use words like hubpages and adsense my eyes glaze over.

Still wish they would just give you the discount there and then.
On my last new cntract, I got from Tesco in-store phone shop. 1000 tesco points added to my clubcard immediately and £100 Tesco gift card arrived in the post 2 months later. I didn't have to do anything. They even sorted out my PAC.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. But did you get 900 minutes, unlimited texts and off-peak landlines and 500mb data on a 12 month contract for an effective total of £0? (Plus a handset which would cost £30 on PAYG to use as a spare or sell on ebay or at cex)Still wish they would just give you the discount there and then.

No, but I did get a "free" blackberry.
The boring stuff, 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb data, BBM, for 24 mnths @£25 a month
less £100 gift voucher, 1000 clubcard points = £30 on deals + phone worth £300?

I couldn't drive and hold a coherent conversation on a phone .... I can't multi-task.
very sensible. studies show it's the conversation with someone not present even more than the holding of the handset that causes accident inducing distraction. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0
