An app is something I'd like to have at 3pm every afternoon.
    zzzzzzz
  • That's not how it works. They track the changes in price of the things in the basket. So if something is free one year and free the next, the change is 0 (don't think they'd put free things in there anyway).

But technology is one negative influence in the basket. A flat screen TV will generally get cheaper.

What I was suggesting is that most apps are free and it is likely it will stay that way (on platforms like Andriod at least) since there is uaually a free version of whatever app you want.

The business model for mobile apps seems to be based around advertising or having in app features that mean you have to spend money. Most of the time the app itself is free.
  • do they already include music bought on iTunes ?

I have never seen an app... but then that's because I've never seen a Smart Phone - and I am guessing that apps go onto Smart Phones. Although I can't define what a Smart Phone is.

So ... who/what is/are Angry Birds and what do they/it do?

I don't believe this. Can you honestly say you've never seen a blackberry or iphone?

The most popular paid for app off 2010. Made (in)famous by David Cameron admitting to playing it.

You load angry birds of various colours into a sling and fire them at little monsters. The idea being that the birds collapse the structure on the monsters and the monsters die. The beauty of it is that each level takes about 5 seconds, so easy to stop playing without losing out. There are many, many levels and special editions for Xmas, halloween etc. The basic full version costs 59p.

And sadly I don't have it.

Correct. I would have guessed an iPhone was a smartphone, but wouldn't have guessed Blackberry.
