BBC Daytime TV: Obsessed with Property and Antiques

What a load of tosh the BBC put on during the day time. Take for example, the schedule for tomorrow. We have TEN programs that are either based around property or antiques - that's nearly 8 hours in total.
I am all for keeping the costs down and showing repeats, low budget stuff and the like during the day when most licence payers are at work, but can we at least have a bit of variation in what is offered?

"You should listen to BBC Radio 7."
Soon to be Radio 4 extra.
Daytime TV is cheap and cheerful fodder for the masses.
Bring back the test card and use the money for some decent quality programming.0 -
I avoid daytime tv. Its bad enough some of the crap on evening tv, Wednesday and Saturday are nights I avoid tv other than recordings, to be fair it isnt just BBC0

Heir Hunters isn't a programme about property as it very often has nothing to do with finding someone to inherit a house. I watch it sometimes and some cases are actually quite interesting. Seeing the processes they go through to track a person's family tree and revealing some amazing stories of a persons life.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
I can think of something much worse. LOOSE WOMEN *shudder*:D0
-
Could be worse, i think there are channels on Sky which operate on a 3 hour loop for most of the day....
When it comes to the BBC i'd be more worried that they're still paying Robert Peston - the man clearly is only interested in getting his face on TV!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
Diagnosis murder is still on repeat !
I agree it is too many hours of programming devoted to houses and antiques.0 -
Due to being on the Yorkshire Dales yestermorn, radio could only tune into some Radio 5 dive. I thought after 30 seconds that this BBC and its regressive tax regime, had melded into one continuous advert for a charity.
As for daytime tv, it was shoddy forty years ago in black and White at school0
