We bought a leather sofa (with footstool) from Ebay just under 4 years ago. It was originally a DFS one and the seller had had it for around 18 months previously. It's still in very good nick.
Changing subject slightly, the leather on the seating cushions still look and feel nice and soft, however, the top of the back cushions look slightly cracked. This is probably due to the fact that I've done nothing to it apart from wipe it with a damp cloth since we bought it. Can anyone recommend any particular leather wipes/cream to use?
Cheers, BirdyIt's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0 -
I bought two Halo Soho sofas, a footstool and a matching leather framed over mantel mirror in Mocca analine leather from Fenwicks in their 25% off sale about 5 years ago. They still look fantastic and the cushions have hardly squashed at all. About a year ago I bought 6 of the matching scroll back dinning chairs and they are lovely too. These I sourced by checking on line to get the best deal.

We have always bought leather settees as we used to have cats and they just shred fabric ones.
We have had very expensive (Habitat) and cheap (IKEA). The Habitat ones lasted for years and years and were very soft leather. However, even though the IKEA one was a harder leather the settee was well built and lasted a long time (horrible to go and buy though). The IKEA one would be great in a room used by kids / dogs as it would stand up to being battered a bit.0 -
Our experience with DFS was great. Bought a corner leather sofa when they were the new thing to have. They still make this one so must be popular. We did have an issue with the frame 18mths in and the sofa was removed and returned within a few days, fully repaired and could have had a replacement whilst being mended (didn't actually take them up on this as had alternative seating). Cost us around £3k 6yrs ago and it had been fabulous. Would have thought about getting some of the additional cushions (fabric) restuffed this yr, but it is now being replaced due to water damage from leak.0
