Leather sofas anyone...

I bought two leather sofas from DFS in 2001 and although they are a bit past it now, I can't really complain about them as they have lasted well. The only thing I would say is make sure that you get a sofa with cushions you can take out and turn/plump up, as mine were sewn in and went flat quite quickly.0

Our leather sofa is from CSL. It was the second cheapest recliner they did. It was bought 4 years ago. Ok, it doesn't look like new, but it is still in good order and we are very happy with it. It has survived the 2 house moves (120+ miles and 5 miles one), two of us sitting on it every single day, recliners in use all the time (I don't see a point just sitting on this sofa - I like me feet up!), a cat - so we have a few claw marks. I would buy from them again. There was no pushy sales staff, no silly discounts.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

I bought mine from DFS 10 years ago and they still look perfect. However, I must add that when I went in to have a look, they were thrilled when I told them what colour (not alot of choice as they are leather & oak & weigh a ton!) I wanted, as for some reason they had 2 3 & 2 seaters on the floor and only needed 1. Result for me? 10 day delivery, huge discount & free pouffe type thing. As it was showroom, it may have been slightly better quality, not sure but definitely not complaining at about £1500 for all 3 pieces (well 2 sofas).A smile costs little but creates much

My ex & I got them from Laura Ashley. It was a once in a lifetime purchase (only for her, it transpired) but we had many happy years together, and they are still going strong.
I think you get what you pay for.0 -
I'd only go to M&S, John Lewis or an old fashioned independent furniture store.
As for brands check out Natuzzi.0 -
I'm wondering about getting a G-Plan leather suite - seems expensive but maybe they're really good value for money.0

Bought our 3 leather sofas, 5 leather armchairs and pouffe secondhand, mostly in excellent condition. Total cost £320.0

Thanks all for the suggestions and your feedback with different sofa companies. I will definitely look them up and when I have finally gotten one, I will definitely come back here for the story of my sofa buying experience! Hopefully it will be all good
I can hope. 0
