This might end up to be a terrible disaster on top of 2 terrible events already.

    Its more than 2 events.

In the last few days Japan one of the richest nations in the world has had :

    1. Earthquakes one about 9 magnitude and several about 6 more than the one in New Zeland. Hundreds of other aftershocks still keep happening.

    2. Tsunami washing inland about 10 KM. Killing more than 10K people leaving up to half a million people homeless.

    3. Volcano's erupting all over Japan, not too serious yet. But they are saying Mt Fuji is showing activity that 'could' lead to the long anticipated big blow.

    4. The nuke crisis and explosions at the plant spreading deadly radiation into the air. It is still unknown or not released just how serious this will prove to be in the long term.

    5. Although nothing in comparison to the other 4, food and water shortages as store shelves are empty. Power and water not reaching many homes. It doesnt sound much but you imagine no power and pitch black after dark. All the candles sold out very quickly.

Is it just the Japanes culture, but there seems to be very little looting that would you would expect in many other "civilised" countries?

They do seem to be generally quite stoical and calm, which is of course to their credit. I wonder how the UK would react to a major natural disaster these days?

I am chatting to friends near mnt Fuji, they are keeping me updated. But if you google it there have been a few volcanos set off or increased activity.

Someone was saying all these big Earthquakes last few days has rocked everything all the plates and volcanos and everything.

Wouldn't be the strangest thing ever - the quake was powerful enough to shake the Earth's axis!
