There was also DtD promotiona gear EVERYWHERE!!! Posters, dangly things and even the security bars had sleeves over them with it on...to say me and the girls had a good giggle about it was an understatement!
LOL the signs were still up in mine as well...maybe i should have taken a pic as well as one of the hoops0 -
hi guys
not quite caught up with thread yet but had to post what my sis and I have been up to ........
ok so went to tesco in a bit of a panic (don't know why we're panicking) to spend our vouchers , mine £53, hers £73 (she has another £80 non recycled one as well) she just wants to get rid of them now
the PLAN-decided either do DTD shop or offers shop or mixed, went for mixed as i am reluctant to pay any extra.
Got there same CSmanager that was there the other night when we did our BIG shops, big gulp!!!
So as we are now all DTD brainwashed, first few items easy -defo DTD stuff (olay, aquafresh whitening, heinz snap pots) then we started struggling to fill the trolleys.
Converstaion(or arguing) as walking around was hilarious
"How much DTd stuff have you got?"
"About £40 worth"
"No thats too much put some back"
"No its free it doesn't matter"
"ok so get offer stuff then "
"but thats cheaper than in asda I'll lose out on that"
"ok buy stuff the same price"
"i can't see anything i want thats the same price"
We walked round and round the store like a pair of idiots giggling but nervous, brains in total meltdown. Loads of good offers on tesco that she went for as well as DTD.
Got to tills and she went first (was £10 under for her voucher)
Stole half of my shopping from my trolley to make it up, still under , ended up putting her whoopsies through out of desperation-had kept them seperate !!! Still 4p under, double scanned one of the whoopsies. SA took voucher no problems at all,
Mine was £15 under for a £53 pound voucher, stood at the till like a total lemon had no idea what i could add, so ran for more milk and olay and snap pots.
SA gave us a whole book of school vouchers and took great care an attention to put my old receipt and new receipt both on a temp clubcard, naively told her i didn't have one!!
MORAL OF THE STORY
DO A DTD SHOP
DO AN OFFERS SHOP
DON'T DO A MIXED SHOP -EVEN IF YOU'VE GOT A LEVEL MATHS LIKE ME, VERY EASY TO GET BLOOMIN CONFUSED
I am an expert now at buying expensive stuff, and cheapest stuff not the bits in the middle and not both at the same time!!! well done mr t for totally confusing me!!
PS on my way out returned the herbal essences that were n/a on my last dtd shop paid with vouchers and the CS lady just gave me back the cash!!!!
Now to enter the receipt for my shop and see what a hash i've made of it all

hi all, just want to say thankyou to you all who have been really helpfull with posting your shops........gotta feeling quite a few of us will have identical cuboards lol:D
celebrate, i felt like you did when i went to do a proper shop earlier (redeeming a £56 voucher of course), its soo hard as your brain is constantly saying............NOOOOOOO dont buy it, it really is over priced so tried to stick to things well......what looked cheep
i had no problems the other day redeeming my voucher, well i say that but i was kept waiting for 10 mins and then 4 rather important looking tesco people came to get me, fortunatly the two women (one was a manager) just wanted to know how i got £40 back, so i told them......i didnt tell them about the wine or whatever i just said that it had ended up working out cheeper with asda so tesco gave me £40 lol
had a nightmare earlier with a little busy body....OMG the manager was saying it was ok and she was saying "oh the timing is wrong, and she only spent £66 , shes not allowed £56 back so off the manager went and had to phone cs. im sorry and i love old people to bits but it seems the ones who work in tescos are a different breed, deff not like my nananeed to pay my dad back challenge[STRIKE]£3000: £2950: £2750: £2640:£2560:£1560[/STRIKE]:D £0.00:D

Hi all,
I'm loving this whole thread and congrats to all that are getting free food.
On only my second DTD shop (last saturday), after entering my receipt details, I got nothing back from Tesco, until today... which told me to re-enter the receipt details. I did this just now and I get a message saying:
Price Check UpdateWe're really sorry.Unfortunately we cannot locate your receipt details on this occasion in order to price check your shopping. This problem only affects a small number of customer shops, and we’re really sorry that this has happened to you.The Tesco Price Check Team
Please accept our apologies, and hopefully you will be able to check your next shop at Tesco.

Has anyone else had this message?
I'm really annoyed, because I think the DTD would have been about £91, and I now don't know what to do...
Thanks.0 -
Just got back from Mr T, took my mum as had 3 vouchers to spend, I bought clothes for my hols with one, I got it just to the voucher amount by adding socks for my baby then when I got to till she scanned a £5 off voucher, said can I use that as im paying with dtd voucher..... yes I could so off I ran whilst looking like on supermarket sweep with till operators laughin at me to find £5 more stuff, got baby food... bargain more free.
Then joined my mum and just like celebrate tried to do a mixed shop but ending up going all mushy brained....my mum was lost with it all bless. Managed to get a few bits, was going to get normal food but couldnt help trowing some iams and a bottle of turners in there, my hand just threw them in I couldnt stop it... so spent a £29 voucher and worked out should get a £16 one back...(kept it under the cap)
Celebrate I wish I was in same supermarket as you we would have had a laf passing each other :rotfl::rotfl:The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have0 -
emerald_starcat wrote: »Don't they take the voucher off you and sign the receipt to say you have used it?
yes they do - not all staff sign it though - as far as I know no one on here is then using the same voucher again. You can then use the new receipt to purchase more dtd items - that is completely different to re-using the same voucher - and nothing in T&C to stop this! WOO HOO!!!!!!:TI used to have a life............................... before MSE!!
