I was wondering about this and wondered if anyone could fill me in a bit about using vouchers from other supermarkets in Tesco etc. I only realised you could do this by reading this thread, but from post above can you not use the co-op one that was on the thread or is is just down to individual stores?
Also, where do you get the discount vouchers generally in the first place, is it from newspapers or flyers through the doors maybe? Thanks.0 -

I had printed the £20 and was on my way out to Tesco.... so I was chuffed to be alerted....did a normal shop with things that I really needed although some dtd items did sneak into my trolley... the SA that served me was overjoyed to see my voucher and accepted it no problem but he did say that they weren't allowed to accept vouchers for more than £20 from midnight tonight..:eek:...he was so happy for me he even showed it to the supervisor [at this time I was trembling with fear] all she said was thats the best one yet well done you!!!!!:T
Not again, this is what i said to the manager i spoke to at head office, you need to get it through to the blinking stores...mymerrywidow wrote: »tesco had a brainwave and capped all our vouchers at £20. we hit them hard with phone calls, emails to tesco head office, watch dog, the sun newspaper. and trading standards. tesco backdown. and have honoured our vouchers. but have capped any new reciepts yto £20
I was one of the ones that rang up in a fury
Just wondered what happened next and if our "big" vouchers are still valid as i won't be abel to use one of them until next and hte other the week after in April...0 -
Quick question - once you input your receipt details do Tesco contact you even if you have no price differences to say something to that effect? I've now checked 2 receipts and haven't had any emails from them but I haven't checked the price of individuals item to see if I'm entitled to any dtd vouchers.
When did you input the receipts? I've never had any e-mails but on the second attempt of inputting receipt details voucher was thereGive it another go

Did you read my post of a few days ago ?

Hi Quoia
had read your post previously when i waded through all the background........ excellent analysis.
I suspect that Tesco started off trying to offer a competing system to Asda which "would be easier to understand" as for many the calculation of Asda pricecheck "10% cheaper" rebate is quite complicated......... see http://www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/Compare-Prices/Promotion-Details.aspx
Both T & A undoubtedly ran tests to see what would be outcome of actual shops by customers at Tesco, but Tesco might have failed to see that those actual shops would be influenced by purchases of special offers so most often ending up cheaper at Tesco.
As Quoia said in earlier post, there seem to be no steps that Tesco can take to amend T&C that "focussed DTD shopping" cannot work around. The only thing Tesco can fall back on is their "catch all" of rejecting vouchers which are "abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme".
But at that point, if there is not transparency on the scheme, well then the ASA may well be down on Tesco.Money Saving Fan.0 -
Help!
I had a voucher for £116 which i used towards a shop of £155 yesterday no problem.
I entered the new receipt (£155) lastnight at 6pm.
I have not heard anything as yet ? Will they not issue another voucher because last receipt will show £116 coupon and £39 cash ?
Confused!0 -

I had no problems using my CO-OP voucher I accidentally used it on a £25 (instead of £30) pound shop with a £20 DTD voucher but he didn't bat an eye lid just put it through lol, i didn't realise until I got home that i was supposed to spend £30Sealed Pot challenge aiming for £400 by Christmas

Grocery Challenge £78/£240 for the next 8 weeks

Hi,
Not sure if anyone knows, i still have a NOTW and £3off tesco (week3) voucher. Can i use these the same time im using the voucher? Does it deduct the amount against the total at the end ? and therefore wipes out some of the DTD made during my spend?0
