    Hi!

I was looking to the prices in the price check thingy from tesco (where it show the price in tesco, sainsburys and Asda) and found some prices at tesco that are much higher then in Asda. If I buy these, will I get the DTD back for sure? Do I have to ask for anything at the checkout?

    For instance, I found that:
Princes Tuna Chuncks in Brine 4x185g is £5.39 at Tesco and £3 at Asda. Would I get back 2.39x2 back? So £4.78 back would mean that the tuna would be 61p only. Am I right?

There is also a Kelloggs start 375g (I don't know what this is) for £2.39 at Tesco and £1 at Asda. This one would make a profit. Is this right?

    Thank you!
Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one :))! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.

    What I achieved:
    Car paid in full straightaway.
    Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!

yep that's right. tuna is on BOGOF at tesco though so only buy 1! or put them through as seperate transactions if you require more than 1 pack.

Are you sure? Wouldn't it be 1.06x2 = 2.12 back? Meaning you would pay 44p for it (even so, very good ;))

  • Not sure if posted already, tesco shopping onine shows Banrock going down to £5 something tomorrow, only showed the white on line.
  • Popped down there yesterday and picked up:

    1 bottle of Banrock Chardonnay
1l bottle Baileys (damn them putting the price up again today)
3 2l bottles of Diet Pepsi
1 4pk of Princes tuna chunks (resisting the urge to get one free)
    1l tin of Olive Oil
16pk of Always Ultra (not for me, oddly)
400gm pack of Seriously Strong cheddar
42 wash of Comfort Fabric Conditioner
1 375gm pack of Start cereal.

Spent £55.90 on overpriced groceries but will get £49.84 back, so basically £6 for the above spend and it's all good as we always shop at Tesco anyway (just we wouldn't have bought any of those items at those prices!).
