Great deal have you had it price checked yet as cant see this type on their price checker so worried they wont honour it.

can confirm this did work. BUT it is not on tesco's price checker anymore. seems to have disappeared. still on asda website though:

    http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=duracell+2450&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=367142

will be interesting to see if it's honoured for those who bought earlier yesterday i.e. monday 14/3

has anyone managed to get the DTD back on the batteries though??

I bought the rechargeable duracell aaa's for £10 (£5 at asda) and got my dtd yesterday :)
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
  • Hmmm, batteries. Lots of reports of them not working. Some obviously do and others don't but a bit of a minefield really as to what will be honoured and what won't.

Rather than trying to get some sort of kudos by getting the best possible DTD, members here might be better advised to fill their cupboards with free breakfast cereal, fill their fridges with free cheese, fill their wine cellars with free wine, and their pantries with almost free coffee, mayonnaise, cookin sauces and numerous other items.

    I just ordered these ..... After Eights 3.05 1.5 1.55 3.1 1

The After Eights didn't work in my store on Sunday as they had reduced the SEL to match Asdaprice, but others have reported success - I hope they work for you, please let us know ;)

I think whoever came up with this from Tesco's marketing department has messed up. But the in-store promotion of it is substantial, lots of large posters and stand-up cardboard promotion placards. So while they probably regret doing it already, it won't be gone in days. They may well change the rules though, or even just do a better job of pricing.

But I can't see the current terms lasting long - and as somebody mentioned, once this gets on the weekly email (tomorrow) there wil be hundreds of thousands of people at it - makes sense to get you £100 worth of voucher/discount today if possible.

Just check prices on Asda site and compare on the Tescos site and also look on the price check site!
