Tesco/Asda pricechecker finds here.......

Bless you lot, have been busy with other things and have only just caught up, boy you lot can natter!
Nobody needs to worry about their vouchers, if they have been submitted it will be fine. As it has been mentioned, it has taken them much longer to implement the system and they have had issues with the pricechecker updating and this has caused delays with dtd vouchers being sent.
Tesco do not want to upset their customers by witholdng vouchers or stopping the offer, the have invested hundreds of thousands into this promotion to go one better than Asda. They are probably updating their website to make the process quicker but as we have provided handy spreadsheets and such they are probably lowering all the prices as we type so they are indeed cheaper.
It will come down to Asdas counter srategies now I think, deliberately mass lowering items but ordering very little stock which will push Tesco into DTD or selling much much cheaper. I think in future there will be certain times of the day we have to be vigilant, just after Asda update maybe? to catch these offers before they can match them, maybe giving a very short timeframe to take advantage?
Either way I have spent more than I would have done on other items and if they keep this up I may well convert to Tesco, over to you Mr T...Comping wishlist for 2017

So surely even if it isn't on their price checker but we find an item cheaper they will have to find it on Asda and give us dtd?
I'm pretty sure it says you have to search on their Price Checker? So if it's not on their Price Checker they don't have to give you anything. I'm not sure what the rules are regarding giving away free cash - except that it's on the terms of the organisation doing it!
Yes, it means they maintain control but I imagine they'll keep a few things like the Baileys in to keep us interested.
Do you think Tesco ever imagined they would have so many people hooked?0 -

It might say they can pull the deal anytime but i would say if they pulled it at say 10am this morning anything before that time should be honoured as the deal was still on and formed part of the contract when we handed our money over0

From this they seem to expect that we will use their pricechecker. Perhaps they are just updating it.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Guess you missed it....
I did punkpinkand tbh you're probably right in the sense that it wouldn't stand up.
But I would hope that if I had reached the stage where I was showing Mr T screenshots of the prices on his site that he would realise that the problem lies in his prices, guarantee and t&c's not my carefully worked out shopping list.0 -

Do you think Tesco ever imagined they would have so many people hooked?- Only branded grocery products that are identical or very similar own label grocery equivalents are included and compared. For own label products to be included we have tried to ensure the equivalent own label product meets the same needs or is intended for the same purpose.
- For example, we may:
- Identify the key characteristics of the products including flavour, and whether it is organic, Fairtrade, low fat, or eco-friendly ensuring that they are not matched in a way that gives any retailer an artificial advantage.
- Where products differ in size, weight or volume, ensure that this difference does not favour one retailer over another.
- Compare goods where there is no more than a 10% difference in size, weight, or volume.
To me this does not state it has to be on their pricechecker...:o0 -
Actually I think they have shown exactly that, out of the thousands of product lines there's very few that are significantly cheaper at asda.
Point taken, but if that were the case why are Mr T's pulling the deal so early...wouldn't they just they just swallow in the knowledge that they would prove themselves in the long run??0 -
Tesco for all their wealth are really a bit thick, aren't they? :rotfl: I really really hope Asda go for the jugular here. They could really sort Tesco out here with a bit of creative thinking.0
