But I've got my own stash of whiskey/gin/baileys. But thanks all the same!
I been thinking that with all these good bargins, I need a house with more storage, you know, a bigger pantry maybe and a somewhere with a cellar and a huge attic! My bedroom is getting far too crowded. I cannot get to wordrobes, got too much stuff in the way!
On no I hope I don't turn into one of those people that hoard everything and just leave enough space for themselves walk in a tiny narrow gap! Gulp!!:rotfl:
OMG you've been to my house???????????:eek::eek::eek:GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
I did punkpink
and tbh you're probably right in the sense that it wouldn't stand up.
But I would hope that if I had reached the stage where I was showing Mr T screenshots of the prices on his site that he would realise that the problem lies in his prices, guarantee and t&c's not my carefully worked out shopping list.
I woud hope so too! Just didnt want anyone mislead! sorry....:p0 -
Actually i would say that half the items are cheaper at asda and the other half tesco, so the way this promo was originally ment to work was that by doing a 'normal' grocery shop, either tescos woud come out cheaper or asda would be under £1 different so the vouchers would be meaningless (pretty much). All supermarkets will balance out eventually....
Exactly, Tesco are basing this on an overall normal shop. Not on a shop of items which we have picked out as being cheaper at Asda.0 -
You are right. The contract was consumated and became binding at the time your receipt was input into pricechecker unless anything explicitly stated that the offer had been pulled prior to that time. They can withdraw the offer at any time, they cannot however withdraw and refuse existing claims.
That would be like going into a butchers, asking for the fillet steak that he has incorrectly priced at £5, him giving you it then changing the sticker to £25 and asking you to either give him the £20 difference or he would give you the £5 back and you give him the steak whilst walking out of the shop.
Therefore, all existing receipts entered are currently in a binding contract situation and as such, form an obligation by Mr T to fulfill other than if they have been submitted in contravention of any of their other T&C's associated with the promotion (in which case, they can rely on a 'get out')It might say they can pull the deal anytime but i would say if they pulled it at say 10am this morning anything before that time should be honoured as the deal was still on and formed part of the contract when we handed our money over0 -

I think if I shopped at one or the other, week on week, with the deals they offer to counteract the other, I doubt my basket would ever be cheaper at the other supermarket.
Due to the BOGOFs and Half Prices, what I buy is influenced by the offers. Until this week, the day of the 'shopping list' was surely over. Surely nobody goes in with a list and sticks rigidly to it these days? This week, amusingly, the shopping list has been to buy the most overpriced things I could find relative to a competitor. Brilliant!0 -
Well if they have pulled it early and no doubt they are watching these forums.
I would like to say a genuine heart felt thanks to Tesco, if it wasn't for your promotion I would never have been able to afford my devine dinner tonight (pic below) but at 54p for the whole meal it was a true bargain. Just need some wine to wash it down with, oh yes plenty of that too. Thanks again. And yes they are the Field fresh mixed frozen veg you paid me to take off your hands.2010 Wins:

- Only branded grocery products that are identical or very similar own label grocery equivalents are included and compared. For own label products to be included we have tried to ensure the equivalent own label product meets the same needs or is intended for the same purpose.
- For example, we may:
- Identify the key characteristics of the products including flavour, and whether it is organic, Fairtrade, low fat, or eco-friendly ensuring that they are not matched in a way that gives any retailer an artificial advantage.
- Where products differ in size, weight or volume, ensure that this difference does not favour one retailer over another.
- Compare goods where there is no more than a 10% difference in size, weight, or volume.
To me this does not state it has to be on their pricechecker...:o
Hmmmnn, maybe, but....
"All comparable grocery shopping is included in the Tesco Price Check (see paragraphs 6 and 7 below)."
So they are saying that what is comparible is decided by them and not us!
Fair point though. I think Ts & Cs will be revised soon.0 -

I agree but realisticaly ite more looking at the products people buy week in week out, has anybody else noticed all the best deals have been for things usually we dont buy because they are not necessary? Just look at the reports of people just buying junk food..0 -
