just a quick question fellow money savers.

i know that tesco check the prices from your receipt based on the time and date of purchase. if i were to do some shopping now with DTD items that will work and enter the receipt details in 2 weeks, will tesco compare asda prices on the receipt date or on submitting my details online? i hope you can understand my question!

this is what i am going to do. i did a shop in tesco today - £15 ,that was an 'investment'. i expect to get £15 voucher - most of the items are double in tesco compared to asda. i am going to do my next 'dtd' shop using ONLY this voucher £15 to buy things i dont neccesarily need but they are going to be free. but again only buying overpriced items and claiming dtd. and with that £15 voucher again.... and on and on.

my normal shopping will be separate.

this way, you only 'invest' once and the rest is free. 100%. and also i dont need to worry that i am buying expensive stuff, because tesco is payig for it with their voucher:j:j

If I understand correctly, then this should answer your question (from the pricechecker FAQ)

Is the price check made for the date of the shop or at the time of entering receipt details?
The price check comparison with ASDA products is for the date of the shop, rather than at the time of entering receipt details.

you will need to price check the sites as near as you can when you go to the shops, just buy that item and the DTD should stand at the time of purchase , then enter your reciept code and they will mail you a £10 voucher to be used in the next 28 days. So you pay £15 at tesco and get £10 voucher back. just as long as the price doesnt alter whilst you are in the shops.

i don't get how you are working out the "your cost"
eg the total effects MR T 13.97 Mr A 7.00 difference 6.97 , refund £13.94 in vouchers ie nearly getting it for free

where do you getting the "your cost" £3.03 figure from????
