    Rant Alert

Went to Superdrug to get my meds yesterday.... they didn't have everything in stock, told me the 4 boxes of Moclobemide (anti-d) would be in today.

Now, I loathe going to Central MK on a Saturday, as I don't do well in crowds, but OK, needs must, etc.

So.... I use up precious spoons getting Saturday morning tasks done, dins organised, served and cleared away in record time, getting myself vaguely presentable, and we head up town..... only to get to Superdrug, and the Moclobemide isn't there. Won't be in til Tuesday!

Mr LW is at work in Letchworth Monday to Thursday next week; he's on earlies working from home on Friday, so that's the next opportunity for me to go into town.

Good job I order my meds well before I run out!

    Rant over.:D

PenPen, my new varifocals were £207, about a month ago; this includes Transitions lenses.

LW - I get my prescriptions sent to local chemist - nearest to docs - I am also in MK - I would never in a month of Sundays consider the centre for prescriptions and if they do not have everything in they call me to let me know when it is.

Perhpas check at your local one

Pen Pen - can I quickly point out that my eyes are not normal!

Not only do I have astigmatisms in both eyes - I also have Keratoconus in the left - and my prescription reflects this!

Not all varifocals cost this much - but I am a special case! But when they can't treat with glasses the following 2 stages are a hard contact lens (to hold the cornea down in a better shape) ......followed by surgery.....

As a prize wuss - I'll settle for expensive glasses!

Went for a VERY short run (half a mile, part of it uphill - luckily at the beginning as I didn't manage to run the whole thing continuously). Then came back, picked up a rucksack of bottles (I take about 6 at a time), walked to the bottle bank and then walked/ran home. Filled up log basket and coal bucket. Guess I should have a shower then relax for a bit and have supper.

Before I go to bed I need to: vacuum & turn the mattress (one of those moments when a man would be useful, it weighs a ton); make the bed; hoover downstairs and clean the work surfaces; dry the duvet I've washed; put the clean cover on the spare duvet and fold it into the sofabed; hang the damp rugs up in the utility room (after the floor is cleaned). I'd like to have a bath too, if I have the energy.

Still a bit of ironing left, but I should be able to get through it all before I leave on Tuesday. I might even get my packing done :p
