  • Kitchen much tidier, washed up, recycling out, dinner prepped, worktops cleared - amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it!

DS bathed & in bed, now to do another HHC on paperwork whilst waiting on DH to get home.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Seconded.. ring the OOH GP or take to A&E if she is very very poorly but NHS Direct won't ring you back and if they do they'll only tell you to ring GP.. probably in the morning.. They are a huge waste of money and should be got rid of and the money put into actual patient care.. they waste so much time while people who are very ill deteriorate or die in some sad cases.

It is part of the job of the GP to deal with sick people out of hours.. they get paid plenty for it and CHOSE to do that job knowing what it entails.. Give them a ring!

ETA as we cross posted.. meningitis is a 'viral thing' in a lot of cases, encephalitis, pericarditis, pneumonia (sometimes) flu, etc.. they can all kill you in a few hours.. obviously I a not saying she has any of those things just highlighting how stupid it is to diagnose a 'viral thing' over the phone. Trust your instincts if you feel she is ok at the moment just keep an eye but if you feel she needs to be seen don't wait for permission you get her seen right away! You are not wasting anyones time.

Thanks for your advice. She's actually looking a bit better again now; better than she was earlier. Just about to give her some Calpol, PJs time and up to bed. I'll keep an eye on her and if I'm still anxious will get her seen - as you say, the GPs get paid enough don't they.

    hi everyone

I want there to be another couple of hours in the day please.. there are NOT enough at the moment. Seem to have been rushing about from about 730 this morning :( and it's still not over, as I've got some flying to do to catch up. Plan for tonight is to go empty the car of carp, then take the bins out, then S&S the kitchen, hall, snug, master bedroom. Then I might be able to sit down for some HM veg soup around midnight.. *sigh*

have flicked through the fred but not really retained much. at LW - hope your foot gets better soon

spoons as always to toots and LL. Anyone heard from soappie, or greenbee?

    Hello flyladies,

    It's the weekend :D

Managed to do level 1s on Monday and Tuesday then it all went wrong.....
Haven't even looked at yesterdays list.
I had planned on a day of flying tomorrow, but now I am going hospital visiting instead. A friend is flying over from the IOM for an appointment, and I haven't seen her for about a year since she was last here for chemo. All very positive this time, as she is here for a breast reconstruction appointment. I don't even know where I am going. I need to look at a map.
DH has tidied the kitchen. I am going to go and put some washing on, and then see if I can find some energy to do a small chore.
Place is a tip, and I really don't know how we do it? 2 adults, 3 cats and it's a tip. We're out all day too?
    Onwards and upwards :D
Hugs to all poorlies and carers xxx

    No it's not, it's Wednesday evening! :p

Hope your friend's appt goes well.

Have TD some clothes and made dinner and that is about it flying wise.

I took Miss A to the GP as her finger looked worse than ever. She had a lovely haematoma right by her cuticle which has now been drained so things should start to improve for her.

I showed them both the original video of Queen's I want to break free and then Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel. Of course I could ot miss out A-ha and Take on Me :D

You've just reminded me - DD1's school top needs ironing. I missed it this morning when I did my HHI.
