Toots, lovely to have you back again my love, but so sorry to hear about your friend - big hugs to you.
I just wanted to say my little bit about flying for newbies or anyone finding it all a bit of a struggle. It is just so true that you only need to do a little bit to make a really big difference; I only spent an hour on the lounge and it looks transformed - sometimes I do this by setting my timer on my phone and doing it in 10 minute blocks if I'm finding it hard going and it gets done without you even realising!
Another thing is that one thing leads to another. I took the dog for a walk this afternoon and she rolled in fox poo, disgusting little ratbag she is. So I got her home and put her in the shower and washed her (bleugh). Of course the bath got dirty; so once she'd been blow dried I went and cleaned the bath. Then I thought the sink looked like it could do with a little wipe and before I knew it I was doing the toilet too and even the downstairs toilet of doom. Because I only did it last week it didn't take long to do at all. I went and cleaned the bath. Then I thought the sink looked like it could do with a little wipe and before I knew it I was doing the toilet too and even the downstairs toilet of doom. Because I only did it last week it didn't take long to do at all.
Hope this helps someone who may be feeling a bit overwhelmed or just CBA!
Off to bed now, goodnight all xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

Toots, I'm so sorry to hear about that. Thoughts are with you and their family
Dancemum, hon, how worrying. I hope she's ok.
 Ok,
Got Tuesday flying out of the way, done and dusted.
Also sorted out Eldest Daughter's SAAS (Student Award Agency for Scotland) stuff for 2009/2010, so she should be getting a bit more money through. It struck me as rather strange, and I don't know if it would anyone else (ie I might be being weird here....so, reality check here please ladies) I married hubby in April 2009, and she's estranged from her natural father (has been for over 10 years and SAAS have made no demands on him regarding student support) and suddenly, just because I marry hubby, hubby has to have his income assessed regarding eldest daughter (who is 22). Never mind that he is happy to take full responsibility for her, what if he hadn't been? It seems the household income is the issue, so this has implications if we have my retired father living with us (as may happen in the future) It seems a bit strange-It's not as if hubby's adopted her or anything.
 Just musings
Also flew a little in the utility room that's going to be a crafts room (decluttered a computer and two bags of gibble), and swept the close.... it needs washed, but it's so wet here, it wouldn't dry at all.
ETA Mumof2 - what a lovely, inspirational, and very true post. xSaving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0

            Mumof2 - don't forget the tomato ketchup - I'm told it works a treat.
Toots - very sorry to hear your news - unexpected always seems to be a real jolt
Have had a really, really tought couple of days at work - and already forecasting at least another half day of unpleasantness tomorrow morning, so my serious flying plans for this evening were completely out the window as I just arrived home feeling that I barely had the energy to drink my mug of tea ............... which had been made by DH!
Anyway, thanks to Mrs Dog deciding that she would regurgitate her dinner behind the settee (sorry if anyone is just settling down with a cream bun) I fetched out my lastest acquisition to my cleaning cupboard - Stardrops - and scrubbed down the offending area of carpet - and then decided that the bucket of sudsy water was too good to waste, so used the rest on the kitchen floor. Have moved onwards and upwards and sorted out the washing, airer, DW and WM. Still feeling generally wrecked so will be away to my bed before long.
Oh, and am trying to deal with one admin item in my basket every day - so decluttered a call to the Building Society on my way to work this morning - all sorted, notes made on the paperwork, and filed.
Off to write my listy for tomorrow - Pigpen's Wednesday list may have to wait until Saturday - it's my night out in a barn with Mr and Mrs Dog tomorrow night - and a couple of serious HHEs for me!Work is not my Hobby0
