  • I'm in :) Thank you so much to our lovely illustrious leaders :) Superstars :j

I can sort the kitchen and potter about turning leftovers into sticky chinese style pork whilst I'm at it in the morning :)

MrsChaos Could do with some advice re a 16/17 year old wanting to move out. Legalities, finance, etc.
I moved out at 16, the ex was also 16. He got housing and some sort of income support (going back several errr ... I'm more than twice that age now) as long as you're out of school. But it may have been special circumstances as his mother wanted him to finish his college course and she was moving to Scotland. I went out and got a job. We managed - although education wise, not ideal as you could imagine.
Not really much help that is it?
Sorry, just my experience. Hope it helps some how.

I've given up trying to post from my phone

I'm in this week after a patchy (post wise) but productive (flying) time last week. Thank you to Pigpen, Toots and Asbo for all their commitment and encouragement.

Kitchen is looking pretty good tonight so I might get on with the ironing that is on the airer in the study tomorrow. If I wake up early that's what I will do.

    Evening, folks.

I may be in this week.

    The Bloke is now KH3.

He has been rather annoying for the last few weeks (to say the least) and I was trying to work out how to say 'You're a grade 1 p___ck and you have 90 seconds to get out of my house before I pick you up and remove you via the nearest window.' but there was never the right combination of circumstances.

However, he tried shortchanging DD out of her pocket money at the shop this morning and shoved the cat off the sofa, so she, in her wonderful 'nearly-teenaged-and-used-to-holding-her-own-at-high-school-when-only-4-foot-and-5-stone way, called him a rather rude name for these actions.

So he stomped upstairs, packed his junk, then stomped back down and told me how I'm an unfit mother for playing bass, for getting job offers and studying for a degree and how I was just trying to attract other men so I didn't have to bother with her anymore. Oh, and he could see how KH2 left me.

Took 3 attempts at a dramatic flounce out the door before he managed it. By the time he had returned for the 3rd time (for his phone and charger), we were trying to not dissolve into fits of laughter. DD wiped a few tears from my face, but they were rapidly drying by this point.

Eventually he managed to drive off (somewhat faster than legal by that point - we did wonder if the police sirens down the next road less than a minute later were directed at him) and I felt like :j :j :j Especially as DD had tried to wade in to defend me for working for a degree to try and make her life better at the end of it (although I didn't condone her getting involved at the time).

So have decluttered a great weight from around my neck today at any rate - which should stand me in good stead for the rest of the week. :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
