Broken wing mirror Honda Civic

  • A new complete mirror assembly will probably be main dealer only, ring them for a price, then you have a starting worse case price to look at.
Then it will be scrap yard phoning/ebay till you find one., unless new is reasonable enough to stretch to.
Only you can tell if it's mendable, undo the thing and have a poke nose, you have nothing to lose, might be able to patch it up and repaint the thing with aerosol.

Hope you've reported it, not as the old bill will be in the least interested, but you're paying for them, might as well get something for your money even if it's a crime number.

Should I goto a Honda car garage and pay a fortune for a new part and labour?

I knocked the mirror off my honda jazz a few years ago and it was £350 to fix it.

I had my drivers side mirror broke over night while I had left my car parked at a friends house after a few drinks. Car was left in a little car park with about 5 or 6 spaces.

I can't see a reason why it got broke. Which leads me to believe that the owner of the car that was parked next to me done it while walking through the gap between the cars.

Or more than likely you parked in someone's regular space ;)
It's hard knowing where to park in those situations, I always ask whoever im with if they recall seeing cars parking in certain spaces so I can avoid having my car trashed.... And if the worse should happen I'd keep an eye on that space for a few weeks to see who regularly uses it and then make a trip to the local motor factors to buy them some brake fluid.
