Oooh, i'm happy! was worrying about not having brought any fruit with me, but whilst I was off work yesterday a camera crew came in to film my boss, and one of them has left some M&S grapes and a bunch of bananas under my desk. Hurrah! guess who's giving them good home :D

£12.08 on petrol ... tho when I got to the checkout some naughty person had already paid for me!! not out of the goodness of their heart sadly either – I drive a Smart car which is cheap on petrol, so they obviously saw me in the forecourt and opted to pay my bill because they wanted to avoid paying for their own (presumably much more expensive) car. There were quite a few vans/big cars there and it was very busy. Anyway, luckily I'd paid attention to the exact amount (which is what being a DFW and posting on this thread each day will do for you) so that's what I paid and no more. And that should be it for today, I hope ...

And so ends the Spikes' NSD run. We spent £10.01 (how annoying is that?!) on diesel, and £12.20 in LIDL on essentials - that's our first food spend in a week for a family of five! We have a tab at the farm shop in the village, thinking about it, but that will be paid off when we get paid on Friday.

I think we're massively in pocket overall though as we picked up a gorgeous Bosch washing machine on Freecycle today! nathaniel is just bedding it in as I speak. Ours died on Monday evening so this is one heck of a result. The reviews all rave about this one so we've been incredibly lucky. £22.21 on diesel and food seems pretty paltry compared to £300+ saved on a new washing machine! :T
If you can't be a good example, be a dire warning :D

    MBNA charges and interest frozen
    Egg/DLC repayment agreement reached

    Feels like progress!
